Yes I’ve noticed the same with my Calais, it’s got me beat too
I just booked my Calais in to get the Alpine iLX-702D installed with reverse camera fitted at the same time
Different. Easiest way I check to see if a VE is a series I or II
Mine is shocking, especially since I raised the gain on the sub amp ha ha, must make time to try to eliminate the rattles and vibrations
yes, did fit that one but not the top ones either side of the OTR
Yeah you don’t NEED to get them, just depends on the look you are after, I prefer mine without the infill panels
Get a mate to drive it, much easier to abuse someone else’s car
Yes, could be handy info for someone else here, good job
Repco workshops don't have a very good name down this way..
when we had an Ultra-Tune in our town, they weren't very competent, maybe try somewhere that has a good rep
bit of a stretch but from this pic but does anyone know what brand and model these wheels might be? All I know is that they are:
20 inch, Fronts...
Sorry OP for hijacking but so all the VE V8's have the 326mm front rotors like on my Calais V?
I thought some had 321mm fronts
Got a feeling you should have got the same model engine out of another VE not a VZ
Yeah, cheers for the heads up
Remote tune on mine along with a lot of one on one discussions with Steve, made my car a different beast. I have 2 tunes I can switch between, 1...
I'd be going to consumer affairs and get it documented, almost getting close to getting a lawyer involved too..
So is that 304 or 409?
It seems like a very good price, do you mind me asking where you are getting that from?
Not sure how having a receipt is going to help you at all. I have a receipt for the pipes on my harley but that ain't going to do a thing lol
VCM OTR is only around $530 and easy to fit yourself too
A quick search shows that yes you would pay between 5 and 6k for the work you mentioned but I would be shopping around
Sounds a bit dear to me, sure there is no cam change as well in that quote?
keep us posted!!
Dig Options are about to test a dual zone set up now....
If I was in Melbourne I would be taking them up on this.......
Got it ! Thanks for sharing this
Nice mate, are they 19"?
My 2010 Calais has cats, centre muffler, 2 hotdog looking mufflers (1 on each pipe) then the rears (which I replaced with J-pipes)
I'm pretty happy with my J-Pipes, the volume is spot on, you can hear it now, sounds like a 6 litre should but.... there is a slight bit of drone...
Ad says it is a V6 in the specifications
its the trim panel between the speaker and the vents.
yes I know I can go to Holden to ask, I guess that's what I'll end up doing, I just try to...
Or a good online parts finder.... Have good ones bookmarked for my bike and sons wrx, one for the Commodores would be handy
just wondering if anyone could help out with a part number for the trim indicated in the attached pic.
Car is a 2010 series 1 Calais V
close but no.... there are so many threads about lowering VE's, I checked through a lot of them again and found it in this thread:...
saw a hub centre to guard chart here the other day for working out spring selection for lowering but I didn't save it...
for sure mate, a full system will definitely happen down the track a bit
no they will be going on a sedan, a '10 Calais V 6.0L
I just bought it but haven't taken possession of it yet, it's on its way down from QLD on...
I just bought Rapid's J pipes to see how they go...
Hey guys, 1st time poster, just researching axle back exhaust options for a VE 6.0l Calais, sounds like the rapid exhaust product is pretty...
