I sure will. Havnt got to the garage yet.
Been busy, will get to the swap over on the weekend hopfully.
Is there any worry about the brake line flares weeping when reconected to the...
Awesome, sound good.
So a straight bolt in to me sounds good as well.
Wether it's the VS or VT master with no mods?
I've finally got the VS booster and master, and also a vt or vx master
In the next few days I'll get onto bolting...
No offence to any one
This is a soft brake pedal thread, it would be nice if the ones concerned would personal message each other instead.
Hi fellors, with a VS master, and also the VT master, what are the thread adaptor sizes please.
Update: I now understand, line adaptors only...
Hi fellors, im waiting on a booster, the guy has to get back to me, he gets busy.
I'm getting excited to have a better brake pedal ;):)
In saying that, does the VS booster bolt straight up with no mods. And also for the master cylinder?
Thanks for the input fellors.
With the vt booster and master together, are they easy to just bolt up? Or is there mods to bolt them straight up.
Ok my bad luck they are all cactus:mad:;) all doing the same thing I think.
But on the upside, a good chance to upgrade to vs booster and better...
I like that idea. I have a parts guy here in Christchurch, they are second hand used parts though.
Does it have to be a vt master?
Here's a link...
Also one of the boosters has lost its foam as it has decentergrated..
I guess it would be the same with all three boosters in the photo, as they all look the same where there push rod goes through the tube....
If I'm honest, I do look at the cost.
I've ordered a vacuum kit and a compression test kit, so will wait on those.
I'm sure if I take apart my...
Yes ideally that's the one. Not sure what way to go, rebuild a booster, or get a new one
Yes brakes do work, they can take a bit longer to stop. Comparing to my VS commodore the VS pedal is nice and high and responsive....
Where the best place that yous know of to purchase a vacume test tool.
Using a vacume kit, how would I test the booster?
I have an idea I could use some soapy water spray around the booster check valve...
I'll have to give it more bleeding to check. Will get some more brake fluid, as I'm nearly out.
It will be interesting to see if...
What about air in the abs system, hence a soft / spongy pedal?
No vacume kit at this stage, but definatly getting one. What is a test you would suggest.
Wheel bearings sound and feel fine....
Has any other be experienced this before. If not, I'll keep looking
Sounds like a good brake combo. What are the mods, and does it give a high pedal or..?
I may have as well ;)
Sounds a bit hair raising haha
Hi men, I had a read of the posts and you fellors sound a load of fun. I'm over hear in little old NZ..
In the photo are 2x VH512's and a VH44....
I have a smaller bodied booster at her me that I was given for a commodore a few years ago, when u was trying boosters to get a less spongy pedal....
Evening, this is the big bodied booster I'm using, same style as the one that came on the car 11 years ago when I purchased it. What model ones do...
I wonder if this will create a miss. I'll find out offer lock down, when I replaced the vac hoses.
Do you know if these ones are very long
I have done that, but still soft pedal
Some mechanics / brake specialists want to create other jobs, so I find it hard to trust them.
I can do the job, I just need a tool.
Maybe it's a pad problem, or still air in the abs unit, hoses, or leaking inside the master I guess.
I thought I'd covered some bases.
Took the car for a drive the last two evenings, and the brake pedal is still soft and squishy.
I will have a further look at brake...
Further inspecting the VR v6 lead to finding what's in todays photos. I know it's to do with fuel/tank. Bit what is the exact purpose...
I'll get hold of a compression tester, it will be a bit of time to get one.
Will post back when I check compression.
It's an ongoing thing, so any...
Thanks for the cable link. What is AED
I was hoping to measure voltage or ohms resistance when at operating temp to see if those values were with in spec.
For the VR v6 are we...
9lph? Different to 9Km per litre?(which is bad) Have seen it do 11km/L. Funny though, the only times ive seen it do 11km/L was after changing the...
For testing the oxygen sensor it self for the black and grey wires, what values would I be looking for on the multimeter?
