Have you checked the voltage at the lights? Various Commodores we have had had crap lights. VK was worst. Just upgraded my VN Calais, bigger wires from the main fuses, through the relays to the bulbs. Factory did a really crap job, 5 @ 14(?)awg wires crimped to 1@ 14awg wire for power...

Thankyou for the answer I was after. The owner has been quoted $5000 for a new seat! Sounds like someone was getting a holiday out of it... I'm not afraid to pull stuff to bits just don't want to waste time and his money ending up with too many bits!

I bought the one piece units from Summit Racing, cheaper than anywhere else.

I don't want to swap bits, I want to swap seats with the same seat from a different Calais. Is the LX8 seat identical (less covering) to any other Calais?

I've welded the frame back together, motors are fine, cover is crook down the right side, foam has collapsed cause the car is so high the edge of the seat cops all yer weight as you exit the vehicle and the plastic side cover has lost all its mounting clips/tabs etc... again cause of all yer...

G'day, mates VY Adventra LX8 needs a new drivers seat. Being Calais spec will seats from any other Calais from similar models be the same, as in fully electric. It has at least three electric motors with no manual adjustment at all. Bloody heavy too! Cheers!

The fitting seems to be welded/fused to the tube. Same as the screw fitting on the old ones. ARCHM sold them to him, they have gone silent!

Cheers. The connector on the shock looks similar to an airhose (compressor) fitting. Inside dia is the same as original, all lines I believe are factory although the plastic screw on "nut" only compresses the O rings, as in nothing is captive on the air line. Owner needs it back soon as. And...

No, switches well hidden from being hit. I removed all the switches and checked for continuity etc, found some corrosion behind the screw heads, all cleaned but didn't fix it.

G'day all. Just relined the roof lining in VN Calais. Now the lights won't turn off automatically as normal. Didn't touch anything else unrelated to removing the lining, and refitted everything as it was, I'm anal like that! I've removed the interior light bulb and will take out the key light...

Installed it all today. Cut the double flares off, made the ball flares (or whatever they are called) Will have it sorted tomorrow. Same master as 'her' VX SS, which feels like it has a bit more rear brake.... will letchas know!

Just trying to do the VT booster/mstr cyl on my N. Have a spare car to try it out first... all bolts up as factory! No new brackets needed! Only thing I do need is the line adaptors to the mstr cyl. So far BQ40A seems to be the one, but the pics on EBay don't look right. Going to a brake...

Cheers, but no. Still good though, I did the same to our VK we had... night into day! I've tried the obvious on the VN with no luck. I tested the double relay and it's fine. Can't know why it's being difficult. Must be a 25 year old teenager.

Well, she reckons it's down a little on go with the 2". Still need to find the cause of the noise. Could be the wrong muffler design??

Update. Replaced the two 2.25 with 2". Same long uneven length, FlowMaster muffler now, 'reversion' type noise a bit quieter and now between 3000 and 3500rpm. What I did find was the factory 2 into 1 collector is very good... loads better than I expected, so put it back as it was the right size...

Just drained the wifes VN... crook wheel bearings, time for oil change. Also dark, green and sticky. Bugger to clean out! Refilled with a mix of 80/90 and 85/140. No where near as thick as what came out.
