Recently put a new tensioner and idler pulley on the main drive belt, as old ones were on its way out. New Endurant battery (doesn't look too good having an old battery in there, being an Auto Electrician) Hit the 270,000km mark! Time for another oil change and wanting to do...

Cheers, I did not run any quicker. The fastest 1/4 mile time I have done is a 13.45 in street tyres and I ran a 13.63 in these ET streets. I believe the atmosphere was a cause of my slower times, this was the first time I ran the Ute down the 1/4 during the day in hot heat, the other times were...

Go Mafless, can be tuned accurately using the MAP sensor as a form of air intake measuring, the MAF sensor itself is some kind of restriction and eliminating it means you can run a large sized intake pipe straight to your otr so its better. No need for it

So went to Powercruise on the 16th and 17th. Heaps of fun, drove the Ute hard as, spun out, went sideways, did burnouts all the good stuff and only problem I had was not getting it to sit on the brake whilst on the burnout pad due to caning my brakes around the track and sticky pad surface but...

    2005 VZ SS ute, 1st v8

So got the Ute back from Protune with my new Mafless intake setup: Dyno sheet, now have 254rwkw: And I can now do brake burnouts since the ECU has been re mapped so as you can imagine I did one. I believe I'm not allowed to share the video or photo but here's what's left of my...

Well Yesterday was crap, some nice person hit my door :/ Also Ute didn't make it to the drags, pulled over due to a loud knocking noise coming from the rear, and saw that a bolt from my half shalf has come off and the bracket which retains the bolts in pairs was smashing my brake line...

Went down the 1/4 mile last weekend, doing 14s now Best time slip of the day: Also put in a override switch to turn on my high speed cooling fans for when im idling in the pits, did some messing around with the scan tool and my engine coolant sits around 92deg C which is operating temp...

    2005 VZ SS ute, 1st v8

Ooh yeah those look neat, thanks Haha nah, not expecting much gain as I do realise 2.5inch piping and the smaller version of the headers would benefit my standard Ls1 more but I'm just going for sound and want to future proof it for when I open up the engine later (later later later) on

This pic was taken at the exhaust shop so I drove it back to work with no O2s plugged in then I extended the loom so now its running the O2 sensors. Ill try borrow a GoPro to do a clip but isn't going to sound as good as it does in person, just gonna wait a few days for the exhaust to carbon...

Ah I see. Yeah the guy said he will put one of the quietest Flowmasters on cause its still going to be loud. And yeah there's going to be a flow master on the left side pipe and right side.

    2005 VZ SS ute, 1st v8

Well its all legal (maybe the db. limit too) and yeah that's what I want. What do you mean I will get raped with no cats? Also will be quite flowmasters probably since the piping is 3inch and dumped at diff

    2005 VZ SS ute, 1st v8

Well after I did my suspension took it for a drive and the braking didn't feel as heavy on the front as it did before. About a week later noticed I had more brake dust gathering on the rear wheels than usual so all this pointed to the Load sensing valve on the rear end. Thought about it for...

    2005 VZ SS ute, 1st v8

So since Iv lowered the Ute my Load sensing valve has put my brake proportioning out of whack so Iv had more rear brakes. With a bit of mucking around this is the solution (Small metal plate with notches between rubber boot and split pin) which holds the piston out (As if the rod with the wire...

Took the Ute around the Hampton Downs track on Sunday, so much fun. Was wet so power skidding the straights was awesome until the rear end came out a bit too much and ended up doing a 360 stopping 2 meters away from a barrier. Went on the wet skid pad and clocked the spedo (260km/h) doing a...

VY/VZ ute rear load sensing valve help

Cant seem to find anything on the VY/VZ's for the Load sensing/proportioning valve located at the rear of the Ute under the tray.. What do people do in terms of adjusting this when the Ute is lowered? Since you are brining the body of the Ute down which moves the sensing rod to a new...
