    VF Evoke Paddle Shifters?

Contact lsxtreme or Envyous customs and get it done properly otherwise you may end up with issues using 3rd party modules that’s others offer to make them work. https://www.envyouscustoms.com/product/holden-vf-paddle-shift-kit/

VF II MyLink Nav installation (dealer cock-up)

No I don’t sorry as it came with the unit when I brought it but looking at his website he has them for sale so if you’re getting a flash box sent over get a antenna sent as well. https://lsxtreme.com.au/product/lsx-407/

VF II MyLink Nav installation (dealer cock-up)

Very straight forward swap, I brought the replacement unit from lsextreme so it already came with the most recent software updates and maps and vin coded to my car. Yes my car is a S1, I think they can VIN link remotely the same goes for Envyous Customs and I believe the 2 of them work very...

VF II MyLink Nav installation (dealer cock-up)

I put a separate GPS antenna in the dash where the centre speaker would normally be rather than replacing the roof aerial, work perfectly fine and have had zero issues with it in that location

VF II MyLink Nav installation (dealer cock-up)

Yes used them to upgrade my car to have GPS and the coloured speedo cluster, no issues with them and send to NZ

VF II MyLink Nav installation (dealer cock-up)

I have upgraded my car to have the factory GPS, can 100% confirm you don’t need a new wiring loom and everything plugs in and works fine, you will need a gps antenna which you can hide in the dash somewhere. If you buy one from a wrecker you will need to get it VIN linked, as mentioned Envyous...

    Swapping Steering Wheels

Great to hear it worked out for you in the end, glad mine wasn’t as tight as yours when I did it. Did you upgrade your cluster to a redline? Noticed the screen is colour not mono like an SS

Difference between base model SS and SS-V Redline wagons?

Yes still true for MY 17, Redline (Red) and Calais (Blue) are the only models that got colour screens.

    Swapping Steering Wheels

No my bolt was fine but that’s probably because I was the last one to put it back on when I pulled the entire dash out, just put a bit of thread locker on it when I put it back in. Honestly the trickiest part is getting the stupid airbag off then just need to be careful when pulling off the...

    Swapping Steering Wheels

I just fitted a brand new steering wheel in the weekend, mine was the same with no thread, but because the aluminium they use is so soft the screws just tap their own thread, you just tighten them up until they bottom out on the shoulder. Have my wheel in now and am loving it very easy job to do...

    Swapping Steering Wheels

the steering wheel only has a master key way so can only go on one way a very easy job to do with very little chance of stuffing it up.

    Sat Nav

Disagree, while yes a HUD windscreen should be fitted that has a sheet of polyvinyl butyral laminated into it which is there to prevent any ghosting (not prevent it from being visible from the outside) the projection is easily read during the brightest days just as a factory HUD and I don’t see...

    J-LED Custom Paddle shift kit

I think the root cause is that you tried to get a Holden Dealership to do the work and they are **** on the best of days, there is nothing special about the Calais and it falls into all “V6 & V8 VF models“, all the BCM’s are they same just different programming for different models.
  17. C

    Sat Nav

Not blurry at all just has a small amount of ghosting, barley noticeable unless you stare at it
  18. C

    J-LED Custom Paddle shift kit

I think it’s just beyond Holden dealership capabilities, LSextreme say they flash your BCM for it to work and they don’t use any trick boxes.
  19. C

    J-LED Custom Paddle shift kit

You will find Holden say they can’t do a lot of stuff that can be done, companies like Envyous customs do a lot of reverse engineering and can program things that Holden dealerships say can’t be done, pretty sure he can program the BCM To allow the paddle shift to work.

    J-LED Custom Paddle shift kit

Stick to a reputable company that knows what they’re doing. https://www.envyouscustoms.com/product/holden-vf-paddle-shift-kit/

    EDI transplant into VF2

Message Envyous customs via Facebook I have found him incredibly helpful in the past and might just tell you exactly what to grab to make it work in your car.

    Aux enable in Brisbane ?

If you check out Envyous customs Facebook page you will see he is giving away a guide on how to install Apple car play/Android Auto the way it’s connects it he uses the Aux
  24. C

    Aux enable in Brisbane ?

I think you will find you will be very limited to who can enable the Aux, guessing only Envyous Customs and LSXtreme
  25. C

    Measuring Oil Temperature

As you have found out yes can be enabled in the factory instrument cluster (V8’s only) and can be done via flash box. https://www.envyouscustoms.com/product/holden-vf-instrument-cluster-performance-menu-enable/

    VF Sat Nav

Possibly both the part and version numbers change with an update.
  27. C

    VF Sat Nav

I don’t think there is a separate NZ version for the maps the maps covers both AU and NZ as far as I am aware
  28. C

    VF Sat Nav

Mine NZ maps seems to have the most recent update as the numbers are same as the post above.
  29. C

    VF BCU flash for TPMS

Not in Sydney but Envyous Customs does this, you would have to post the BCM and speedo cluster to him. https://www.envyouscustoms.com/product/holden-vf-tyre-pressure-monitoring-system/

    Ve sat nav

It won’t but over to you, the Omegas didn’t have that as an option even if you wanted it from new, the book is just a generic book that covers all commodore models, also if you press the nav button and it says it’s not available you will need to have the unit programmed to enable the Nav. If you...
  31. C

    Ve sat nav

Unfortunately not that simple, the fact it says unavailable would mean it doesn’t have the Nav board
  32. C

    Ve sat nav

Extremely unlikely it has Nav, the Omega didn’t even have this as an optional extra. If you look at the IQ unit on the opposite side to the SD slot there should be 2 plugs, a blue and a black one if your IQ unit has the Nav board fitted. What happens when you press the Nav button?

You will find the aircon ducting is a snug fit in behind there, as you can see in this photo when I had the entire dash out,

Installing HUD into non HUD vehicle.

Yeah I probably did go a bit to detailed but thought the more detail the more likely others would see that it’s really not that scary and give it a crack. I did quite enjoy doing this entire install. I thought the same but zip lock sandwich bags come in very handy and I didn’t lose anything

Installing HUD into non HUD vehicle.

I made a step by step guide for anyone wanting some guidance on how to do this. No doubt there are spelling mistakes and hopefully it makes sense and is helpful to some of you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/baqdgwb87egk9tg/Step%20by%20Step.pdf?dl=0

Installing HUD into non HUD vehicle.

Tried this today and surprisingly it does make quite a difference, pretty much no double up at all wearing sunnies. happy for you to fly me up, let me know when ;)

Installing HUD into non HUD vehicle.

It’s installed how it would have been from factory so I think it’s just the fact my car doesn’t have a HUD specific windscreen.
