Have you tried applying some gentle heat to the area (not to the stud) so the aluminium expands slightly. Also if stud locker has been used on the thread, gentle heat will help it come loose.

Outlook 2010 is fine for what you're doing. 0.82GB would take a fair while to syncronise especially if your internet connection is not super fast.
