Rear Speakers are very quiet in VE Commodore

Yeah it was the rear doors in the wagon, no subs in the parcel shelf, no parcel shelf in fact.

Rear Speakers are very quiet in VE Commodore

The OEM rear speakers in my 2010 series 1 SV6 wagon were 4 ohm 20W. See if you can spot the fault :)

    Brake issue???

If it's the sensor get it scanned while the ABS light is on and it should tell you which sensor is faulty and just replace that one, they are easy to replace.

    Brake issue???

When the ABS has a faulty sensor it does feel and sound like a grinding noise with the whole car vibrating and you should only get the the grinding noise when the ABS light is off. Once the ECU realises that there is a fault with a sensor it switches the ABS off, so no more pulses.

    Water leaking through door

There are small slots in the door that are well hidden behind the door rubbers, a pipe cleaner works well to clean the slots out, I have the same issue with my wagon. I am planning on borrowing a wet /dry vacuum to see if I can dry the carpet out and get rid of the wet dog smell until I get a...

Water drainage channels in VE Doors.

Pipe cleaners are really good for cleaning out the holes in the bottom of the doors, with respect to checking if the carpets are damp, it pays to remove the scuff pad and rear seat so that you can get your hand under the carpet and check the felt underneath. The carpet can feel dry while the...

Water in sill under doors (or skirts)

I had the same thing with the rain. Both drivers side doors filled up with water. You should here the water just by opening the doors. Run your fingers between the door rubber and the door and you should find a couple of little slots that are probably blocked with sludge. The water normally...

2012 Equipe - ABS warning but no codes

The grinding / pulsing through the brake pedal is a give away for an ABS sensor (Brake sensor) the car thinks you have one wheel locked up, the code only seem to show up if it is active at the time, I had mine play up intermittently for months but I couldn't get a code out of it until it became...

HVAC relearn with Aerpro FP9350BK facia

Hey @NTJosh I have a 2010 SV6 wagon and it definitely doesn't have dual zone A/C just single, don't go chasing a problem that you don't have. Did you have Climate control knobs before you changed the fascia or one.

VE positive terminal fusible link, dealer only?

At least solder in a socket for the mini fuse rather than soldering the fuse itself. the 60A fuse is probably now 80 to 100A with that layer of solder.

VE Key Remotes that slowly deteriorate transmit range

If there is a dust or moisture build up on the electronics in the key fob it can degrade the transmission strength.

    Key and alarm problems

wrap your keys in alfoil when you are not using them and that will tell you if it is an issue with your key or an issue in the car. The alfoil will block any RF signals coming from the keys.

    Towing

The Dove has a Tare of 1200Kg so a likely ATM of 1350Kg, I tow a 16 foot Expanda with my SV6 (ATM of 1750Kg) without any problems or modifications. Fuel economy of 18 -19 litres per 100km but you should be looking at better with lower weight and lower profile.

    Headlining material fallen down

Cost me $330 to get teh wagon done. I only got 6 years out of mine but I park mine outside in the sun all of the time, I suspect you would get longer if it was garaged. The foam layer between the cloth and the base board turns to dust.

    VE Starting issue

With mine it is the Auto crank, you can take it to the start position and you only get a brief cough while the key is in the start position, you can then manually hold it in the start position as long as you like and the starter motor cranks but there is no ignition. If you go back to key off...

    reverse sensors stopped working

This may seem like a silly question but is your handbrake switch working? If the module thinks that the handbrake is on it won't beep.

It isn't connected on my wagon. I followed the harness through for the reed switch and it went nowhere.

    Tow plug.....

I've just been through this one with my dealer, to their credit they did spend a fair amount of time on it as they didn't understand it either. I had come from a VZ and it used the sensor, so that if the cap was open on the connector the reversing sensor would be cut off, however on the VE they...

    Remote lock/unlock

It's really the height rather than the head that improves the signal. Do you have any metal bits and pieces on your keyring? This can affect your remote as it can block the signal.
