Correct, but different material between the two, cometic is 100% steel whereas nitro has a bit of rubberish to it.

Update, changing paths and now going with Nitto 1.1mm with (fire rings) head gasket as opposed to mls cometic 1.29mm gasket. apparently nitto seals better and have stronger fire rings. cometic is good but would require copper spray and wet stone/knife sharpening the block as cometic are very...

Thicker the gasket more prone to leak at high rpm? In that case I might go with 1.29mm as I am not using head studs...

Hi all, in the process of putting the afm in the intercooler piping 2.5 inch, could someone please let me know how they have connected the afm in the piping? Did you use some kind of an adaptor? If yes, what is it called and where can I get it from ? TIA.

Vls don't have VIN, they have a chasis number and PPSR don't have records due to it being pre 89. Any other way I can find out the cars histor if it's written off or stolen or has finance?

Sorry mate, been a while. Problem has just been fixed and it turned out the temp sensor would occasionally work. Temp sensor was fine but it was the wiring which was intermittent causing the above issues. Thanks everyone for their input and hopefully it can help someone

Was at the mechanics and he tested the car in front of me and said on the heads there is coolant steam pipe which is one piece and connects on both sides. He undone the screws and bled until constant flow of coolant came out. Passenger all good, went to drivers side and nothing...... left the...

Thanks for the reply, took it to the mechanic and as above came up with two error codes. You're right, battery seems it needs to be replaced as I was getting low voltage reading and charge battery on dash, happened a month ago but never came back. Im regards to coolant temp sensor, no error came...

Ok, update!! New water pump, new radiator, new thermostat, new radiator cap and problem is still there. weird thing is it isn't overheating. Another thing I noticed is that the radiator hoses are very hard. I'm thinking there is too much pressure and may be a blockage or a circulation issue as...

water pump is now in the car but it's a vy, Vz, Vt and Vx (5.7l, 6.0l)water pump. it fits perfectly and is it the same internals as the ls3 pump. Thanks

thanks mate, had a look at the hose to radiator and reservoir tank and was good. A blocked radiator won't cause that bubbling effect on the reservoir? Wouldn't that be more of the water pump?

I've replaced it with new new caps and still no luck.

I've replaced two new caps problems still persist

Took the car to couple of mechanics today and was told it could be a blocked radiator where as another said it may be the water pump. Another said 100% it's the radiator cap, so bought another radiator cap and same issue.... head scratching now.
