    Firewall Rust

Hmm. I assumed it was due to the insulation holding the water and the moisture eating through it, was hoping the series 2 would possibly last longer than the series 1 due to the removal of some insulation panels around that area. That sucks for VE owners then.. Looks like i'll be getting a VF...

    Firewall Rust

Any chance you saw if you had the smaller (main culprit of the rust) sound insulation behind the booster, or does yours only have the top piece? Small piece behind the booster pictured here: Thanks. Trying to figure out if a VE Series 2 would be less likely to have this happen.

    Failed lifter or something else?

Not too sure if this is the issue (hard to tell without actually opening the engine up, but maybe it could be due to this recall not being done: https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/warning-ls3-recall-about-to-happen.268361/ I'm assuming yours have already been done, considering you...

    ve stock horn factory immobiliser/alarm

If it was happening when driving i would suspect the bonnet latch security sensor, but because it's when it's sitting it'd more than likely be a module in my unprofessional opinion. BCM perhaps? (stealership answer) Unless the door sensors are getting triggered, any chance your drivers door is...

    Polishing the SS

You guys should check out some quality Ceramic Coatings. Usually last a few years and provide a proper glass like finish which lasts for much longer than any wax i've ever used. CQuartz UK Edition 3.0 ($90) or Concours NOVA EVO ($180) seems to be the best ones out at the moment.

    VE SSV errors after extractors

Thanks for updating the thread with the solution to the problem. Hopefully it'll help other Holden owners in the future if they have a similar problem.

    Help me waste some money

I'd recommend the VCM 5SC cam for a good jump in power. From the research i've done on it, it provides torque all throughout the rev range and is perfectly matched for a Supercharger. So i'd be putting that cam in it and if you're still hungry for more then get a blower.

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

Yeah, a lot cheaper. Nah, the person who fixed them just didn't give enough attention to it. They had stickers which marked the date when they were both repaired on the outside of the housing behind it. Were both X/X/18, not sure of the exact dates.

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

UPDATE: Got the Tail light back, all is working perfect now! Phaing explained to me that the previous repairer didn't seal them up properly, using an incorrect sealing adhesive which caused the tail light to suffer from water damage and found that the brake light connection was covered in some...

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

Yeah, i am very pleased with how it's turning out. Unfortunately i can't fully answer that cause i haven't received the tail light back yet. But, i did give him my old modules (1 was fast flashing which he knew about and the other one is just old) so that may make the ending figure a bit less...

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

Yeah, they really do, haha. I went to Holden the other day, they still have E1 stock available at $1200 for brand new. Very pricey, but kinda tempting for new, old stock. Good suggestion, i was tempted but haven't had anyone around to hold that tail light and check. I contacted him through...

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

Thanks for the help. Yeah, they're really poorly designed. Considering the issues were known from the E1 and still happening with the E2's and 3's is just ridiculous. I'm currently trying Lytek. He's a repairer here in SA, but if that doesn't work i'll try the link you posted for Jimmy. I've...

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

Yeah.. Found one here but he wanted 500 for 1 and it was the wrong plug (White instead of black) so i couldn't justify it when i had just put a new module in. Yeah, it had a 2018 sticker on the inside and looked like it had been resealed.

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

Hmmm. Interesting. I'll get a hold of Lytek and see if he can diagnose the issue and possibly fix it. Seems like the tail lights are becoming a bit scarce which is quite unfortunate..

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

Thanks for the reply. Definitely sure that the brake light not activating is a known/common problem? I know the LED's blowing was very common, didn't see anything about the whole brake light not activating though.

    HSV Brake/Tail Light not working

G'day guys. Just picked up a 07 HSV GTS. Found that the passenger tail light was flashing fast and the drivers side tail light brake light isn't working (but the parkers work on both). All the LEDs are working on both tail lights. Ended up fitting 2 new Modules today and that fixed the...

    Vx ss

Had a similar issue in my VX. It's the LED lights in the tail light, the ABS/TRAC system freaks out because it thinks there's a globe blown (or something along those lines). My car was purchased with them, when i removed them to replace with the stock ones i noticed there was 2 small electrical...

    How to tell 2016 SSV

Apologies, i believe that is correct. Looks like the Series 1 missed out on it, but the Series 2 got it. MY15 Series 1's got it too. So depends on the Build year it seems.

    How to tell 2016 SSV

From what i've gathered on carsales, SSV has push button start, SS doesn't. So that's a pretty easy tell. Could even see from the outside; Proximity key/Keyless Start had small buttons on the door handles to lock/unlock the car without taking the key out of your pocket. SS doesn't have them.

Uniacidz Ride VX SS Monaro Themed

Couldn't agree more mate. Happened to me once and it left such a sour taste in my mouth. Absolutely hate when scum try to scam hard working people. I'm always completely up front with my sales, especially in cars that i'm selling, no matter if it's something 99% of the time they're not going to...

    Koya SF06

Looks great, got a very nice flow with the two spoilers and the bright colours work well together; chrome taillights, steel wheels and chrome tips. Usually i hate chrome, but this works. Just needs more low :P

New Walkinshaw W407 Package coming soon

Yep, you're 100% right. I believe that chart just shows the main ones they offer, certainly not all. But most people are just looking for more power, not necessarily looking at where that power is going to be through the rev range (and the other factors you've mentioned), they just want that...

New Walkinshaw W407 Package coming soon

I've seen quite a few of them backed up by a lot of comments on Youtube and these forums from users who have purchased several of them. Though, it's not 100% correct and may have some advertising incentive linked to them a bit, for the most part they're accurate. There is a disclaimer down...
