Quick question. is there a size difference between a Sv6 and a standard v6 throttle body? called up a wreckers and got quoted 110 bucks for a sv6 throttle body and was told they are different. thanks in advanced. -Lazy

so i gave it another try without doing anything to the car and the car fired up. black smoke was coming from the rear end which might just been oil and fuel burning off since i flooded the car. im kinda convinced it might be the crank angle sensor now.

pump primes yes. some times it keeps going and going and going. so check if im getting spark from the coil pack? ill check tomorrow thanks.

my fault with the lack of information. cranks but wont fire up. cold start too. battery is about 6 months old. had the crank sensor replaced already.

if it was the crank angle sensor then the car would start when its cold.

Hey guys. got myself a sv6 done some work to it. second time i got this issue so far. car stalled and wont restart. im getting fuel into the system but the engine wont turn over. first time that it happened i was told to reset the ecu. worked the first time but now it wont work at all...

Hmmmmm ... if an intercooler has been installed then the car needs a tune. if its just the snout then no.

Just a follow up question regarding the valve springs. which one should i go for? the 105lbs or the 130lb?

Hey Steve. thanks for all the help so far. just got one more question for you. with the High ratio roller rockers. Would you need a tune after installing them? ive looked everywhere on this forum and i cant find the answer. and with 1.9:1 ratio... Would i need to upgrade the valve...

took the latter option. cut some of the support bracket from the bonnet and trimmed the insulator a bit. found a nice place to get the pulley and tune done so hopefully everything goes well. ill have to look into the engine mount
