iv got similar question, I have a 2005 vz storm ute, not keen on ridiculous amp or subby. but thining about putting rear sized speakrs, 9'' I believe just behind seats to add a more surround sounding , worried about distortion as they will be directly right into the back of driver and passenger...

iv got onw coming from autobarn for $99, think the brand name awas arepro or something, otherwise they had 'THE CAT' (car audio transponder) for $200, ill post when it get it all hooked up. 2005 VZ storm-Sony xav160bt

iv got a sony XAV601bt enroute to install, aswell as a steering wheel adaptor to keep my steering wheel controls. im not too keen on getting a ridiculous sub and amp, but what's a good recommended speaker to replace my factory speakers? brand, size etc, to give a nice sound without waking up...

Overall, is this a good modification? Or is buying and installing a genuine growler better?
