So, not that anyone cares lol but all gauges up and running with a custom HSV background. Very pleased with the result.

In answer to my own question, you can hear them still but can only see the reversing grid and feed from the camera so all good.

Contact Steve at G8 designs on facebook. From memory with the exchange rate to NZ it was about $900 i think. You supply your own HU and you get a touch screen HVAC controller along with fitting kit, steering wheel modual and facia.

Yeah been reading up on it Lex, seems that wire sometimes needs to be bypassed or just grounded onto the HU chassis.

So i'm putting a new headunit in the HSV GTS in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know what happens to the reversing sensors in this case? Do you still hear them or are they no longer functional? Cheers

I seem to remember someone having this sort of problem and they sorted by cleaning either the MAF sensor or TPS.

Anyone one struck this before? Creaking noise coming from my clutch pedal. It's only become apparent since i had an after market clutch installed. Some googling suggests some lythium white grease into the master cylinder might fix the issue but thought i'd ask here first. Cheers

Was it a Holden alternator that was put in to replace the toasted unit? If there is absolutely no power and even enough to run the hazards i'd start at the most obvious point, a defective alternator.

If your looking to push the HP of your car up bit by bit then an OTR is a good place to start. Untuned it is ok but tuned you'll find more benefits.

I've ruled them out they don't offer a dual zone option. G8 designs in the states seems to be the way to go they'll sell a digital HVAC controller and dash kit as stand alones. They all you need is to supply a double din headunit of your choice and install.

My guess is that it is that cheap for a reason. My first thought is cheap plastic which will warp out of shape under load and allow particles past the filter and into the engine. Just my opinion.
