cheers guys... all fixed.... apparently I put the bolts back in on an angle and ####ed up the 'holes'... anyway local mechanic drilled it out and put in 14mm bolts... only cost $40... top bloke!

thnx.... I got the 26mm bushes for the car.... are these right? I was under the impression that is the standard size for vs swaybar. Maybe I have the wrong size??

still problems here.... both front bolts are reaching a point and then not tightening anymore.... they cant be stripped as I have tried the back bolts in the front holes and they do the same. The vs mounts into the chassis using a single bolt.... the rear has a slip in the bracket so you just...

hi guys - 2 questions: I have replaced my sway bar D bushes with nolathane, however I am having trouble tightening the front sway bar bolt. The rear tightens fine but the front one reaches a point and then slips back - I have swapped bolts but am still having the same problem _ got me...

thanks for the replies..... been doing a lot of driving the past two days and it has not leaked again thusfar.... there is no oil in the coolant that I can see.... was pure green.... the oil filler cap is clean as a whistle.... guess I will just keep monitoring it... thanks..... one other thing...

Hi there, my vs has started to weep a bit of coolant out of the top bolts of the inlet manifold. The leak is very small. I guess the gaskets need changing since its done north of 300,000km. Bit tight on funds at the moment so was wondering if I could let it go for a while and just monitor how...

hi guys, just did a trans service on the vs.... new filter and fluid.... took about 3ltrs. Anyway as soon as I started her up and went for a drive she started acting up.... i.e. slipping.... getting stuck etc... got her home and noticed smoke coming out engine bay.... popped lid and tranny fluid...

yes checked all good, except found split in vac line going into firewall. I have replaced but still no vacuum... not sure if I put it back together right. I have inlet manifold hose to one way valve... small hose then to t-piece.... hose to right goes to vacuum ball.... hose to left goes to...

nah no luck.... not detecting any vacuum

thanks for your reply mate.... yes the air is only coming on feet (default position).... its funny because it only started happening when I took the 'dial' unit out to have a look at why the air only blew out on level 3 and 4 - I now know that's to do with the resistor.... I have taken it apart...
