some guy who remanufacture pumps and racks said to just replace the bolts in the pulley?? and yeh the harmonic balancer wobbles and i think i can see cracks in it.

Yeh got pedders to do a tech check, they say i need new rack, radius rod bush's and control arm bush's. Also they were saying i may need new front tyres, when i just got some and have only driven like 200kms in them lol, do i really need new tyres or can i just put back on front front on back or...

why did you replace your rack may i ask? because my car when turning right i get a knocking noise in the front left, and if try park/turn at idle/low revs theres like no power steering assistance i have a new power steering pump.

The new o'ring on the high pressure line how important is that?

Mechanic had car in bits he said he found a knock in the seal in the pump putting it back together today then testing it not sure if that's fixed it.

well, my resiovour used to pop out of place, doing this caused the low pressure hose to get a hole cut in it by the belt, i then had a new hose installed by mechanic, happened again 2 days later and i then did it myself, and replaced the pump aswell, and i noticed there was a black clip behind...

i dunno then if mechanics dodgey then becuase he says rack and pumps fine, other then that he doesnt know, its leight at fast speeds, hard at low, struggle to park, im just gunna replace tensioner and belt and pulleys, then see how it goes, as only cost me liek 150 to do so, if not then i will...

took it to mechanic he said racks fine, he said the knocking noise is normal for rack, and pumps fine as its new, he did pressure test aswell, when i press on my belt the tensioner pulley moves aswell with it, should it move or should it only move when u get breaker bar on it? because yeh i dont...

becuase i got new pump, got racked checked and pump pressure tested and all is fine, i noticed when i push on my belt the tensioner moves aswell just by pressing on the belt,

did this deffinantely fix it just by changing tensioner assy?

bump anyone have any other suggestions?

Yeh thanks mate, i have been driving it for like 5kms since i changed pump should the air have atleast escaped by now? but i did raise front wheels and turned lock to lock then reved to 2000 rpm as advised and turned lock to lock again a few times. Also i have a Knocking noise in the front left...

na mate its fully bled ive drove atleast 5k kms since putting in new pump. when installed i reved to 2k and turned lock to lock several times. i will do it again tomorrow to see what happens.

215/60/r15 wheels, pump came with pulleys lol? well i just bolted the pulley old pulley onto pump, its just like a metal casing. and doubt tyres be a worry, i do think its rack i will take it in one day this week to local mechanics see what they reckon, its only when low kms, the power steering...

so your sure it would be the rack? becuase yeh thats the only thing i can think of aswell as the knocking noises as i have sent it into pedders before and asked to check front left bushes etc if they can find the noise problem they couldnt find anything wrong with any bushes/bearings in front...

by the way problem was still there before replacing pump im pretty sure.
