Correct wiring for, 4 channel amp only running front splits?

Nevermind I think I get it now, lol Bridging 2 channels of the amp, halves the ohm's that are presented to those channels, (decreasing resistance and increasing power) so with this amp being stable at 2 ohms I should be looking for a 4 ohm sub? hope thats right lol

Correct wiring for, 4 channel amp only running front splits?

Thx Tasmaniak, whats the deal with bridging the amp - (2-ohm stable in bridged mode) Does that mean I should be looking for a 2 ohm sub, or does it not matter whether its 2 or 4 ohm?

Correct wiring for, 4 channel amp only running front splits?

Id seen a few vids and pics with the crossover in the door, in hindsight probs not the best spot for it. I guess because there seemed to be plenty of room above the speaker behind the door trim, and wasnt 100% sure where else was a better spot, lol. The tweeters I mounted in the factory...

    Running new speaker wire

Hiya Panseven, lots of helpfull hints so far and looks like you got it sussed, I just did mine last weekend. The way i went was (as several other guys suggested) to remove the rubber from each end so you can get the tube straight and bunch it up. The only difference was that I used a pen with...

Correct wiring for, 4 channel amp only running front splits?

Thanks again mate, Amp, Speakers, Wiring kit and Dynamat will hopefully arrive by the weekend, and amping all 4 speakers is the way I will go. I'm thinking I might as well save up some extra cash and get some decent coaxials for the rear doors. I will be running new wire to the splits in the...

Correct wiring for, 4 channel amp only running front splits?

Thanks Tasmaniak, lol you must have posted while i was typing a reply to ephect. That does sound like a great option, I didnt list that as one of my choices, as I was unsure whether it was worth amping the stock rears. But if that will be an improvement it would be silly to have 2 spare...

Correct wiring for, 4 channel amp only running front splits?

Thanks for the response ephect thats sounds like the best way to go. the switch when set to the 2 position (i believe ) is to allow you to run one set of rca's into the amps front channel, but still use it as a 4 channel amp. ie going from a H/U that only has 1 set of outputs I just wasnt...
