Series 1 Calais V 2006 Sat Nav + Roof mounted DVD

Just press the "Aux" button near the front screen to select the rear dvd player audio. It'll also show the video on the front screen while the car is not moving.

    Series 1 VE Bluetooth Question

Here's some options from another thread: https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/bluetooth-music-receiver.238556 My one took a little more work, but it looks much more factory, IMHO.

    12v power from roof?

I believe removing the head lining is a bugger of a job - might be simpler to run a tap from behind the dash, run it up the A pillar, then tuck the cable behind the lining without removing it all.

06 SS stereo replacement issue...need help!

I think that the stereos need to be VIN coded to your car, but I thought they should at least power up. Do the AC controls work with the new one in place?

06 VE Calais Replacement Stereo Unit programming issue

Give doubledip a bell here - his business is in Syd, but knows the VE stereos backwards.

    VE Double DIN Head-unit Possibility?

Afraid it isn't that simple! The AC and the audio controls are all integrated together. You can't cut out part of it without leaving yourself in a pretty big hole. There are options for changing to a double din unit though - have a look at these guys for one option...

VE roof mounted DVD audio problem

Check the loom on the side of the head unit too - previous owners might have hacked in a aftermarket bluetooth thingo into the rear aux lines there.

VE Series 1 rear aux audio input connection

You could get one of these: ASL automedia Pty Ltd :: iPhone_iTouch :: VE iPhone iTouch Adaptor then cut off the ipod adaptor and wire in RCA's. That way you don't need to break into your factory loom.

my diff just exploded over the road! Help

Is your car stock? if so, I'd be hitting up Holden as a stock driveline should not fail just outside warranty.

    WM 3.6L Caprice?

The Caprice's are firm favs of the hire car crowd, so keep an eye out for excessive wear on a suspiciously low k's car. If serviced well, a high k car may do you just fine, esp since they are stupid cheap for the amount of car you get.

    Bluetooth Music Receiver

Still got something hanging out the front :) Personal choice of course, plus don't you have to power it, or do you have to remove it and recharge it or something?

    Bluetooth Music Receiver

I wanted a little more stealthy look (not a fan of wires out the front), so I combined one of these cables ASL automedia Pty Ltd :: iPhone_iTouch :: VE iPhone iTouch Adaptor with one of these dongles Bluetooth 30-Pin Audio Dock Adapter | Docks & Dock Adapters | Audio | and tucked it all away...

    Questions in need of answers!

I think you would be fine with the rear light clusters - they don't change them for the UK models they've exported, so I suspect there would be no issues there. All the colour/bulb requirements you listed are correct. The one thing that the AU spec cars do not have are a rear facing fog light...

    VE Series I Bluetooth troubleshooting?

Yes - it turns out the previous owner had removed the 'accessories patch harness connector'. It's a plug that has three loopback cables and plugs into a jack under the glovebox. I picked one up from holden ($116 tyvm ... you can't get the plug by itself, so I ended up with a spare loom)...

    VE Bluetooth problem

Simple answer here: Series I VE's do not support audio streaming. Sorry! Edit: sorry, didn't see you were looking for options! Here's a few: * Do a Series II swap (very pricey, but you get all the BT stuff and it works with all the steering wheel controls) * plug a BT receiver into the...

    SV6 MY9.5 Bluetooth phone connection

Of all the threads to bump, you had to choose this one! The PIN is hard coded into the module, so there isn't any way to change that. I believe the pairs in memory delete the oldest pairing when the maximum is reached and a new pair is created.

highly unlikely - there are normally a bunch of interlocked systems that all need to give a green light for the airbag to deploy. How Airbags Work

    2008 SV6 - Bluetooth Music?

I think it depends on the device, but I know android supports simultaneous connections for phone and A2DP - it all depends on the bluetooth profile that the devices offer.

    A2DP Bluetooth

I don't think so. I think to get A2DP into series I, you have a few options, but they are all a bit messy or expensive in their own way. Get an IQ replacement kit from JHP or other supplier. Will give you the whole shebang, including A2DP, but at a price! 1.5 to 2.5k Pick up an...

    VE Series I Bluetooth troubleshooting?

OK - had some progress towards sorting this out! I pulled the glovebox out and found that , sure enough, the bluetooth module was unplugged. There was also a bunch of spade connectors plugged into the big white plug on the left hand side of the glovebox - I assume these were used by the...

    VE Series I Bluetooth troubleshooting?

Cheers Matti - I found some interesting pic over at this thread, so I might pop the glovebox out on the weekend and have a poke about. Might just not be plugged in (I'm all for simple fixes!)

    VE Series I Bluetooth troubleshooting?

Picked up a 07 Calais International recently, and i'm having some fun trying to get the inbuilt bluetooth connection for the phone working. Holding the phone button on the wheel brings up the phone icon on the dash, but I cannot find the "Vehicle BT" device when searching on any of my devices...
