    air flow from vents

ok, spoke to my local aircon guy & we went over what its doing. apparently when the engine is at revs it produces less vacuum, hence the vac res tank. I recently fitted a vy engine to the vt, & thats about the same time this problem with the vents started. Car runs perfect, smooth at idle, i...

    air flow from vents

pulled half the dash apart, vacuum res tank connections all good, no hissing leaks, same as the vent controller itself. again this is only a problem at revs or hwy.

    air flow from vents

Hi everyone, 99 vt v6 Problem with air flow from vents, driving around town, it's fine but when driving on the HWY, its like the vents shut or close, air doesn't seem to come out anywhere. This is non climate control (standard) so I believe from what Ive read there is no vacuum solenoid, is...

    VT 3.8 slight miss

so it turned out the top end was noisy/rattling, & low on compression, Put in a VY engine & rewired the knock sensors to ECU. Goes really well again

VT Dual Fuel slowly loses power on petrol when warmed up

i'd doubt it seeing you have no fault code for the coolant temp sensor, The other thing is to look at the temp in dashboard mode on your laptop, if its a stable temp (around 80 deg) fully heated up, & not fluctuating the sensor will be fine. Go with the codes its telling you, its running rich 1...

don't worry, vy engine in with VT loom, rewired the knock sensors to the ECU and alls well. only thing i had to swap was the passenger side manifold & EGR

VT Dual Fuel slowly loses power on petrol when warmed up

DTC 92, usually sets when the laptop is hooked up to the OBD plug & you have engine running, just clear the fault with the ignition on (engine not running)when your done. If it still logs without the engine running check your fan relays/fuses DTC 57, that will set when your running LPG as the...

vy engine/trans with loom into vt

Yes i hear you, Its a long story but im sure i have a dodgy wiring loom on the VT, Ive had no end of trouble with the knock sensor circuit, retarding the timing, after replacing many new sensor including knock sensors, CAS, even the ECU i ended up cutting knock sensor wiring at the ecu & rewired...

vy engine/trans with loom into vt

I bought a smashed donor vy to put the engine into my vt V6. pulled out the VY engine & trans with the whole loom back to the ecu in 1 unit Id like to run the vy loom & ecu in the VT. There is 1 plug on the VY loom that replaces the 3 plugs on the VT drivers side, The Vy loom mainly plugs into...

    vx commodore knock sensor trouble

Ive had knock sensor troubles too, DTC43 Checked wiring, looked ok, fitted 2 new knock sensors, 2 new O2 sensors, inlet manifold gasket. Clear the fault but it comes back, no engine light though. I just fitted another PCM/BCU, cleaned all the earth points under the bonnet. It randomly retards...

    VT 3.8 slight miss

azzaVT Short answer is no, After new o2 sensors it didn't make much difference... I also replaced the inlet manifold gasket, Some days it would seem better than others I just last week replaced the coil packs with the elec ignition , this seems to have helped., idles much smoother even...

    VT 3.8 slight miss

    VT 3.8 slight miss

Cleaned/sanded the earth terminals 2 on the drivers side guard & 1 below the alternator. idles much better, im guessing the earth for the o2 sensors was bad

    VT 3.8 slight miss

Site wont let me attach XDL files??? anyhow, 2 new Genuine Walker o2 sensors on the way, time to replace the old one's which i suspect are the original ones, O2 readings both sides give similar readings until the engine starts to warm, and then one side readings starts to differ a great deal...

    VT 3.8 slight miss

Hi all. Straight to the point. The wifey's VT has been playing up at idle, sometimes stalling. 230,000 km's has LPG/petrol Replaced plugs & Leads, but didn't seem to help much so after some reading on here decided the symptoms were Vac related. Purge hose is fine & decided to replace the...
