Nope, back again, service done, a bit of oil in the pcv hose and valve, only having the problem at low rpm when the engines cold, so cruising at 1500-2k rpm, take your foot off the accelerator and the revs drop below 300 rpm, sometimes even stalling, but then sometimes she's fine, any...

All sorted at this stage, PCV valve was rooted, running a lot better now

The plugs are probably due for a change, regular idle is about 800-1000rpm, it's generally pretty stable with the odd shudder

Hey guys, seems I've got a problem with the old girl, when driving along, any time i put the clutch in, the revs drop to an almost stall, jump a bit and then and then gradually struggle back up to idle, this seems to happen pretty much any time i take load off the engine, any suggestions? Booster, I'm not a fan of the alloytechs because of all the problems they have, don't get me wrong, they have enough power (when they're running) but too much goes wrong, but I also think the ecotec was the last decent V6 motor, and have always preferred the earlier models of the V6 commodore

Thanks again guys :) Ok 11.5km/100km is still a little better than my ecotec at the moment :( aha Cylinder shutdown? Bit of a rookie here, How would that work? I would imagine that in theory that would put extra load on the working cylinders? Would it wear the engine quicker?

I got the quote through an online retailer, but I'll check autobarn. I got a really good deal with my spack, 1 owner for 17 years , in almost immaculate condition, the only work needing done is the brakes, brake rotors, spark plugs and spark leads, plus the touch up on the paint.
