A couple of people I know have used Bayside Performance Services at Cleveland and been very happy with their work. I was going to use them when I had my L67 VS, but had to sell it to buy a house.

    Average income per year

I'm a field service technician in the "Business Equipment" industry. I'm on $49985 per year plus company car, fuel, etoll, phone, plus about $1500 on call allowance each year and all overtime at double time. I suspect there is not a lot of room to move up within the company I work for, but I'm...

    Body damage from other drivers

my job is field technician servicing point of sale equipment, so my whole working day is spent parking in various carparks at shopping centres, etc. The work car is a 2008 Mitsubishi Triton (thats NOVEMBER 2008!) and thanks to the number of selfish idiots in the world it looks 10 years old...

    vy berlina v8 power?

Where should you go for advice? HERE! :D Spend some time going through the forums and as long as you look properly, you'll find all the information you could ever want. Regarding exhaust, I have no hesitation recommending Sureflo Exhaust at Ingleburn. See thread I posted here for the work...

    vy berlina v8 power?

My understanding is that there are two different exhaust systems for the VY models. All models were 235kW standard, except for SS and SV8 which came with what Holden call a "sports exhaust" which netted 245kW. I have not heard of a 225kW VY though... I thought the VX was 225kW and the basic VYs...

3.5 Inch Cat Back from Sureflo - VY V8 WITH VIDEOS

Just thought I'd put up the before and after videos since I got my SV8 fitted with the medium loud 3.5 inch cat back from Sureflo :) Please be aware the auto gain control on the camera makes the stock and sureflo systems sound almost equally loud, but I assure you the sureflo system is MUCH...

    My new wheels

$1800 for the four with Maxxis MAV-1 235/40R18 Would have gotten better tyres, but I also had $1400 worth of suspension damage from the impact, so the tyres had to be cheapies. EDIT: I don't remember the EXACT price, but the "non package" price for the rims only was about $260 each, give or take.

    My new wheels

These are 18 inch Equus Kalibur as depicted here I do suffer from a small amount of shame with these being manufactured by a Chinese company called "Lucky Wheel and Tyre" but when I drive past someone on the street, I doubt their first thought would be "pffftt... cheap chinese wheels" ;)

    My new wheels

got them from Bob Jane at Blacktown... cannot recommend them enough! best customer service ever, and they even sprayed my discs and calipers black to match :D EDIT: by "discs" I mean the hubs of them, not the braking surface ;) some overspray, but 2 seconds of braking and it was gone.

    Steering Wheel button issue

Actually its printed circuit board Disconnect the negative battery terminal - you need to do this to avoid logging an airbag fault. Before doing this, be sure you have your radio PIN handy - you may or may not need it. Remove the horn pad by inserting a large flat blade screwdriver into...

    235/40 x 18 tyre recommendations

I have the Maxxis MAV-1 in 235/40R18 but they only have about 1000km on them so far - in the short time I have had them they seem to behave fairly well.

    Help Deciding Exhaust

I can recommend Carline Mufflers - they will beat anyone elses price and from my experience, do quality work. I had a 3.8 Ecotec 2.5 inch catback done for around $300 (dont remember exact amount sorry). I was more than impressed with the results.

    Stupid brake rotors!

I had same problem on my VS - the trick is to belt them hard with hammer once, then rotate a quarter turn, and repeat about a hundred times until the rotor comes off. I did ruin a hammer this way because I was hitting so hard though - needless to say if you have to remove the rotors this way...

VY2 V6 to VX V8? Would you do it?

It would be a matter of test driving and thinking very hard about what you are losing vs. what you are gaining. I'd be paying close attention to the handling differences.

    random ABS failure.

mine came up with an ABS fault today - turned out to be the battery was flat - as I discovered shortly afterwards when I tried to start the car. Charging the battery for a while fixed it.
