Got some tyres one my wheels Just after I picked it up Next day after some tyre shine

Finally finished respraying my VZ SSZ / VZ Monaro rims, now just need some tyres and to decide if I put the standard nuts with black caps or chrome wheel nuts on?

Couple of beasts!

I got a quote from the Exhaust Bros to supply and fit ceramic coated pacemaker extractor to my SS for $1450. Is this about right? Are Pacemaker the way to go?

Removed the spoiler, just used red electrical tape to cover the holes for now, actually worked pretty well, can’t tell unless you get close! haha

Got some black plates, put my alloys back on and gave my car its first wash in weeks! So a few more photos with a decent camera again this time.

I had a dry, grey, slightly cracking patch on the top of my steering wheel. I tried leather conditioner, but it didn’t do anything. Then I remembered how good that stuff is you use to blacken/clean black leather shoes. Not nugget, but this Kiwi leather polish that dries completely and leaves it...

And or the "good squirt here and there" was more like regular massive squirts! haha

So my new springs have settled a bit now and it’s sitting a bit lower. I’m happy with the left side, sits I tiny bit higher in the front, but it’s fine, but the front right sits up higher. Took it to Pedders as they do a free check after 1500km and they said the front right was up about 5mm more...

I had another look, the door handles, hand brake and top of the gear stick are the same lighter silver colour. The air vent surrounds and some other parts around the dash are a little darker, so don't think they are actually meant to match, I wouldn't worry about it, doesn't bother me.

Yeah they are lighter, probably cos the door handles are metal but the air vent surrounds are plastic. Never really noticed until now though! haha

Cheers. The SSZ wheels look like a slightly lighter silver than the standard SS wheels I have.

Cheers, thanks for the tips. Yours turned out really nice! What kind of silver paint did you use? I have Dupli colour silver wheel coating that I painted my stockies with, it has a nice metallic flake in it.

Fronts springs are Pedders 2275 and Rears are Pedders 2643, equivalent to super lows I’d say. I will put the SSZ's on, just need to fix them up a bit and respray them, they are pretty rough at the moment, but I’ll keep them silver.

I know! I used my girlfriends Samsung this time, much better than my scratched Iphone! haha

Painted a couple of my stockies gloss black to see if I liked black wheels on my car.

Love it! crying out for a slimline number plate though, either black on white background or white on black background.

Ride height is very even and spot on! What springs?

I want to see some more pictures of this beast!

I’ve always wanted a red V8 manual, so I’m pretty happy with it! It does feel pretty quick to me. The only other car I’ve had is an EF XR6, I used the think that was pretty fast, but 164kw with a 4 speed auto doesn’t quite throw you back in your seat as much as a 250kw manual! :yeah:

Yeah, I really wanted one with red interior, so pretty happy I found this one in such good condition!

I’ll keep a look out for some genuine Supersports then.

Wheels look much better than before now with no rash! I just got some SSZ wheels that I’m going to respray myself, what colour silver did you use?

Took my alloys off to give them a really good clean and chucked some stockies on, so thought I’d put up some pictures of it for something different! haha

Looking good mate, I quite liked the VE SSV S2 wheels with the white walls, but now I’ve seen a few more pics with the new wheels, reckon that suit really well! Very clean with the badges shaved, spoiler removed and black plates and now black wheels, love it!

Looks great, love the SSV rims, was considering a set myself. The charcoal really suits your colour.

Cheers guys! So just measured it from ground to guard and the front currently sits about 10mm higher than the rear, so once it settles (hopefully a touch more in the front) and my tank isn't completely full, should be pretty much level in the end.

Nah, front as well. When I went to pick it up they had just finished, I was just about to say. “has the front even been lowered?” It looked the same if not higher than before… but before I said anything the guy told me the front doesn’t look low enough, we’ll put some lower ones in. 30mins...

Leather’s looking nice mate! I’ve been thinking about a ripshifter, but I generally don’t have any problems shifting from 2nd to 3rd, but reverse is a bit hard, can never get from 1st then straight into reverse, it just doesn’t go in! Have to pull it down to 4th then it slips into reverse...
