BP for me - I've found that I consistently get another 50-60 km per tank out of it compared to Mobil, Caltex or Shell. Performance is fine with any of them I think (or at least it's very close) but the better range wins the argument for me.

Think that you're right on the VCM but the exhaust - nah. Di Filippo manufacture the Walkinshaw exhaust but to Walkinshaw's own design - lay the two down next to each other and the differences are noticeable.

My experience went the other way. I had a 5 which needed to be be re-synced every few days and since I've gone to a 6 it's never needed re-syncing. Had the software upgrade done last week (the guide lines are really good) and the phone now connects really quickly, call lists come up faster etc.

I've been told that the heartbeat blower tends to be quieter due to the intercooler being on top of the unit. I haven't really heard one going hard so can't say that it's correct but it might be worth checking out.

It's a disease guys, an incurable disease! I honestly don't think I'll see the day that I own a car and leave it completely stock - there'll always be something to tinker with. The VF is SUCH a nice car - adding that bit of mongrel to it just makes that little bit special doesn't it?

SSV Redline delivered 23rd December - nice Xmas present to myself. Shipped out of the factory 24 hours before they got the bad news. Done nearly 24,000 km & really enjoy driving it - bloody good car! No dramas or faults other than the ac seal, which hadn't started to leak for me in any case.

Mine is manual, Ive done 23,000km and no thud like this at all. Be worth getting your dealer to check it out.

Can't help you with the boot stripe but I did the chrome swap on mine and the black window surrounds looks SO much better - you should be much happier with it once it's done!

Mine's fine (Redline Sedan) but it does appear to be a recurring problem with some cars.

I have and prefer the manual - like many things, it's personal preference and when I go for an enjoyable drive, the whole interaction with a manual gearbox is part of what I like. No driveline shunt, clutch shudder or any other issues for me - smooth, good gearshift, very happy with it.
