    It's not a performance problem, it's that the stock inflow neck is known to break, as is the overflow outlet (which is what happened to mine). I prefer to replace things like that with stronger alternatives to avoid replacing it again in the future.

    I run both 275/35/20 and 285/30/20 on my VE (originally 245/35/20) no problems aside from the usual speedo inaccuracy. The main issue you will find is that the larger diameter may affect shift points if you have an auto. Your mechanic should be able to program your ecu to the correct size rubber
