I've been told by a reputable tuner that in my ls3 with a mild cam I would definately lose a little power after installing double valve springs. That you will always make more power with a single until you go bigger cam bigger lift. Opinions please?
I get theres a big difference between dynos guys thanks. It had x power he fixed it, did a new tune and it came back driving with significantly less power. Add to that that he says he got 47rwkw more power out of it with his tune over the old one, I knew something wasn't right. I went better...
So since you know enough to make that judgement tell me how he showed me the dyno sheet showing me a 47rwkw difference between tunes and a week later in same conditions I ran both tunes on a different dyno and had .6 of a kw difference between them?
It's not that mate I'm not claiming to know it all that's why I'm asking. It's just lost so much guts to drive. Not enjoying it at all. I don't care about a number it's just the only measurement I had to go by. I'll put some ks on it and then prob go bigger cam and head work. I've only done...
I got the specs emailed to me by the guy I bought the car off but I can't access emails more than a week old from my phone here at work sorry I'll update as soon as i can. I replaced only the piston and conrod affected to be sure but did rings and bearings on all the pistons and rods. Didn't do...
Thanks I'll do that. Still don't get why he gave me a dyno sheet showing two runs. One 278rwkw (he said old tune) then another 325 (he says with his tune). I've gone back to kpm racing and they got 307 with both his and the old tune? Why did he lie do you think?
I have an 09 r8 e2 clubsport cammed and tuned with intake and exhaust. 417k2 (flywheel) and 850lb tq. It broke a valve spring 12 weeks after I bought it second hand with 95,000ks on it. Valve dropped, damaged piston and wrecked the head. I had a tuner recommended to me by several workshops and...
