Mate, good luck with that, you will need it!!!
2014 SSV Auto under 40 - would think no chance. 2013 model would also be highly unlikely at that price.
For Sub 40k - If you want a Vf SS, IMO your only option is the standard SS.
Warranty will be honoured, the Holden brand will still be alive via dealerships so dont see an issue there.
They wouldnt be allowed by various government bodies to promote and market a 5 year warranty if they cant deliver.
Meh!!! As a marketing professional I can almost guarantee that any day of the year you could walk into your local dealer and negotiate a price that would effectively take off whatever the value of these "specials" or factory discounts are worth.
I love the Holden brand but by having a "special"...
Congrats mate, love the colour! I have the same! What % window tint did you have done?
Personally I think the black fender vents and wing spoiler make it look so much better.. I bet your over the moon.,. and you should be!!
Be great if you could post some more pics once she is lowered. Mine is...
Just based on the trip computer mate.
The return trip from Adelaide-Ballarat also had a 62 km difference so in that regards is was just about spot on when comparing to the trip the other way
I agree Raj, when it comes to all types of driving it would be hard, (but not impossible), to get an extra 75-100k per tank benefit with AFM .. But on open roads, as my test has shown, the benefit of AFM using BP Ultimate 98 is 60km extra per tank. It could of been more as we drove normally...
Interesting feedback from everyone.
Me and my bro both have VF SS's. The diff is mine has AFM disabled, a CAI, cat back and ECU upgrade where his is stock standard with AFM.
Together we drove both cars from near Ballarat-Adelaide for a family gathering. We decided to do a little fuel economy...
yep, I think they are really good. My SSV Redline has had an ECU upgrade which was done from new and it exceeds my expectations to be honest. However, after previously having manuals, probably not the best feedback as I havent really had a Holden auto to compare it to. Very smooth & responsive...
Deff not dreaming mate.
All our work vehicles change. But they are Nissans (2010-2011 Pathfinders) & Volkswagons, not holden.
Within 15 seconds of crossing the state border, it changes.
I havent seen a holden do it, hence asking the qn.
When you cross the border on nearly a daily basis, it is...
Hi,
When crossing state borders with time zone differences (EG SA - Vic). I've noticed that the clock on my redline doesn't change to the new time.
Had a quick look through the owners manual but didnt find anything.
Anyone know how to get it to auto change? As the car has GPS, it surely could...
Never said that mate
Couldnt agree more with you. I simply took advantage of an offer that came up to have my WP kit installed and included for a discounted cost.
Yes mate figures may not be exact but thats what I was told, all be it by a salesman. Looking inside the tips there is an opening and I can feel gases coming out of the outer tip
Fair game with the flow pick up typo. I didnt pay enough attention to Rajesh's quote as what you did. It was actually Rajesh who originally mentioned flow from exhaust tips, not me.
At the end of the day Im happy, got my WP Kit for a steal as they included it in with holden family discount.
I...
I have the WP Power Pack, got in with my new car from dealer and only done 600k's, so haven't really tested it yet but she sounds awesome already. I love it and the W310 pack would be ever better. Yes it cost $$$ over others and ppl have their own opinions positive & negative.
Rajesh, hate to...
Do you already have any other mods on the ute?
If not and simply after a better grunt, a 2.5" would do the trick just fine, which would also be cheaper.
If you already have or planning to get other mods such as cats, headers, extractors etc, then they 3" is prob the best bet.
For the VF, Walkinshaw have a new cat back which is a 3" into 2.5" at the tips. The guys in WP Adelaide advised me that thus is the best system.
Walkinshaw have a retail cost of $2390 just for the catback, you may be able to knock a hundred or so off.
I would say, if your just getting a cat...
I agree with what your saying but they still cant sell a vehicle that has a issue that is worthy enough to require a recall.
Most of current dealers stock is prior to May 22 build so they have the seatbelt issue.
Therefore its up to the dealer to fix the issue prior to sale. So they have no...
Hi mate, I did exactly the same the other day before I collected my redline.
My dealer advised the following:
Climate control issue was claimed to be fixed, however I never saw first hand what the issue was and only found out about it on this forum
AC issue they advised there's no simple fix...
Also what rims have you got? If standard SS, they wont be offset enough for the bigger brakes to fit. I know that applies to brembos so im assuming Harrop brakes would have a similar issue. Thats the first thing I'd be checking.
The brembos fit on the redline as the std redline rims are...
haha, can hear the whip crack from here!
It would be cheaper to sell your v6 and upgrade to v8 than it would be to change engines and everything that comes with it.
And Im pretty sure it would also be bye bye new car warranty!
Recently picked up my April 2014 build SSV Redline, Absolutely love it!
Redhot colour with wing spoiler & black fender vents. Thought of blacking out the front grill but I think is looks better in chrome IMO. Dealer threw in the standard - sports mats, lock nuts, boot liner and a tank of petrol...
Hi Paul.
I picked up my redline the other day.
Im not expert by any means and other members please comment, however the salesman told me that Holden concentrated on reducing external road noise on the VF, so not sure why the car you drove was load. Mine was not loud at all (for 1 day)...
Bloody awesome man.
Getting mine this weekend.
Exactly the same as yours, Redhot Redline, however I only went the power pack and also opted for the standard chrome around the front grill. Black fender vents were enough for me.
Did you get the max 35% window tint done?
Bet your stoked...
Bringing up an old thread but anyway..
Nice ride mate, how you finding the WP power pack?
I pick up my redline this weekend also with the power pack. Didnt realise the exhaust tips stick out that much tho.
Enjoy
Of course it won't affect any vehicles not built as yet lol. 22may was when they found the issue hence that's the recall to date. As if there gunna keep building cars with a known issue..
Mine might be ready this weekend after all. Touch wood
More info:
he recall affects all 2014 model year VF Commodore and WN Caprice models, numbering 41,933 in total, and relates to the vehicles’ four-, six- and eight-way adjustable front seats.
In a statement, Holden explains a condition has been identified where the pretensioner wiring harness...
Not sure if this has been mentioned previously but:
Holden recalls 42,000 Commodores for possible seatbelt fault | News.com.au
Ment to be picking up mine next week. Dealer said it wont happen. Guess its a good thing that the issues been picked up.. but still, Fark!
Hate to say it on a commodore forum, but the demand for Holden's, especially 2nd hand is simply nowhere near where it was 5-10 years ago. I'm no expert by any means but it's pretty obvious.
Yea mate the dealers prey off it, their bread and butter. Dirt low price for the convenience of getting rid of it.
They offered me 9 for my 06 VZ SS ute with 70k km on the clock. Said no way and after 3 months on car sales sold it for 16k.
Persistence paid off but I can see the temptation to...
Hi guys,
Picking up my redline next week. Cant wait.
After reading all these posts regarding software bugs (heating, boot opening etc), should I call the dealer and ask to have the latest software update before I take delivery. I would think they would have the most recent update installed but...
