could you look in your manual and see how to get all the coolant out of the engine..dropping the bottom radiator hose only gets about half of it out...

My sv6 5speed auto stock does it in 7.9-8.1 ...thats about 4 runs with stop watch...my vn auto does it in about 9 flat...i did have a vp 5speed back in 92 ...it was a new car....it did it in 7.9..my mate at the time had a vr ex chaser 5.0...and the vp was atleast 2 car lengths in front of it...

when i drained the coolant out... the most i could get was about 5-6l...there should be about 11l in there....there must be some other drain some where

does anyone know if there is a drain plug on the block of the alloytech

yeah it is in the calais and the sv6 only...just a bit more power thats all

clean your battery terminals aswell

ive noticed that my 05 sv6 auto only revs to 4 grand when in neutral... but revs higher on the road

If your just driving around the city in and out of carparks xmas shopping with the aircon on and no highway driving ...15l might be normal...but if its 50/50 it should be a lot better...and you better get holden to check it...it all comes down to your average speed...i get 14.5 with about 30kms...

I've had the problem a couple of times in my sv6...found it to be just that the fuel cap wasn't properly tightened...if its just a tiny bit loose you will get the fuel smell

100% around town average speed 31kms 15lper100 ...i reckon they use more fuel then the ecotech by about a litre

think it was about $55...there was two types..one had the exact connector, to plug straight into the original plug...the other and slightly cheaper one, both bosch..the one i got ,you had to cut the original plug off your sensor and crimp it to the new one..no big deal easy...

i got one off ebay and the insides fell apart after a couple of months.**** ,went to repco and got a bosch one... it was double the size, no problems with the one on the right after 12 months

I think we have got a bit off track here...cause the handbrake works fine when rolling forward on steep slopes.... but not at all in reverse...thats what i cant understand...........

Hi I have a 05 sv6 auto 5speed and would just like to know if anyone has noticed that there handbrake don't hold when the car is in neutral with the back of the car facing down hill...as mine don't hold at all...

I think it will ride about the same i ...have lovell superlows...and i put shorter kyb's in the rear...and it still feels the same to me a bit bouncy..but the springs don't fall out any more...

It might be the ABS braking system..if its fitted

maybe it was that heavy clutch...or someone forgot to tighten the bolts on the tailsharft

Extended warrantys are not worth nothing anyway..to much fine print in them.. Its just the car yard trying to sting you for even more cash....do the service yourself..atleast you will know what has been done for your money..

man you really need a gregory's manual ...i did one about 12 months ago.. got a seal kit from local auto transmision place like $50 bucks or something..you need a torque wrench for this for sure..and that end cap does need to come out...thats were you will need to make a tool to get in to those...

Yeah i think the same with my sv6 with potenza's on it . more so when slowing to a stop though...don't listen for it and it will go away.And no they are not directional
