Springs should be replaced about 100.000 kilometers. If you run with the old springs, the shock absorvers will not last as long.

    VX commodore stalling while driving

I agree that he spent a lot of money for repairs that didn´t fix it, but some of them, like oxygen sensor, should be replaced about 80-100k kilometers. Well, my gues is fuel pump relay or connector.

VE brake shudder funny mark on rotors

Sorry for my poor English. I´m talking about the o-rings of the pistons that pushes the pads. Just a check, I don´t know to explain, if the o-rings are damaged, the pistons do not make the correct return when you release the bake pedal, and in this situation can cause excessive wear of the pads...

VE brake shudder funny mark on rotors

These marks were made by overheat. Could be caused by an excessive or high speed braking. If the rotors were overheated, is recommended to replace by new ones, and not machine them. And check the caliper's repairs of both sides, by the way.

    Low beam Headlights not working

Hey guys, checking the page "VT-VX Faults" I´ve found this: "8. Some VT's may have starting issues caused by a defective Fuel Pump relay (or have no low beam headlights, as the Low Beam relay is the same as the fuel pump relay). A revised relay was introduced late 2000. In case of starting or...

VX slow to crank with new battery

Here in Brazil a new starter motor is very expensive, so I replaced the brushes and the result was very good. But with 280.000 km, maybe a new starter motor is a better option. There is a limit of change parts or buy a new one.

    Re-spraying VX Commy

I think that depends of the quality you want... For a real good quality spraying service, you must to remove engine, interiors, electricals, glasses, etc, the cost is the most part to remove/reassembly of these things.

ABS + Battery warning lights come on, now headlights don't work...

The regulator it´s not difficult to chance by yourself, but require some pratice with a soldering iron. I changed by myself and I spent about 2 hours. And check the alternator´s bearings, by the way.

    Cooling System Issue

I go with the our friend above, if the system works fine, just install a new heater valve and keep the system with demineralized water and a good quality coolant solution, mixed in the recommended proportion. OBS: In this case, check the water pump too, if it was not affected by corrosion.
