Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to try and get to DIYgarage next week to tackle a couple of other smaller jobs that are easier to do on a hoist, so I'll have a poke around then. As you say, maybe I'll get lucky, if not I currently have a booking to get it fixed in two weeks time.

This problem occurred after I had the clutch work done. I don't want to point fingers, but could it be possible they forgot to put the spacers back in? Also, is it odd that thay didn't mention anything at the time about the driveshaft not being straight or the center bearing being stuffed?

Does the intake air temp sensor need to be connected for the engine to run? This thing doesn’t currently have an airbox just a dodgy pod filter attached to the maf with some silicone hose. I’m more than happy to correct all these issues, but I really want to hear the engine run before I commit...

Well the new reg finally arrived... Bad news though, it doesn’t fit in the end of the fuel rail. The old reg is 10mm and the new one seems to be 12mm. Not sure what my options are at the moment. Thinking maybe just mounting a universal reg to the firewall and plumbing it inline with the dud...
