gday guys converting a V6 VR ute to V8 and keeping it on the column. I know the linkages will fowl so Ive been told they need to be pushed/punched into the firewall. Has anyone done this and can be a bit more scentific about what's required? thanks :)

RESOLVED! As suspected along the way - the ECU was responsilbe for giving a high reading on guage. The engine isn't running hot at all. Hopefully this helps someone as it's probably the last thing anyone would consider to be the culprit

ive swapped relays and then done the test with CTS diconnected and the low speed seems to work. Harder to hear if the highspeed kicks in but I'm pretty sure it does thanks

I've done CTS as it threw that code too. I also swapped ECU. only thing left talking to the ECU to get this code that hasn't been changed is the throttle body so maybe I'll change that next...
