You may be hearing the door latch move around on the striker, common fix is to wrap the striker on the body with electrical tape, or a cloth/felt tape. I believe Holden even do this as a fix. I did it on my drivers door and it stopped any little noises. Give it a shot.

I moved back to 98 a few weeks ago and haven't had the issue re-occur. maybe a dodgy batch of fuel from singapore

Yesterday morning with less than 1/4 tank of 98 it started like crap after sitting 12 hours, put in 50+ litres of caltex 95, let it sit almost 24 hours and started spot on this morning like it used to.

i've noticed the same problem with my car in the last week to two - and i use 98 v power exclusively also. Perhaps it is a suspect batch of fuel. i'm going to a different brand/servo next time to see if the issue persists
