Might have to wait an hour or 2 before you can even access the charger
VS Ecotec - 11PM last night going home from work, I noticed steering got heavy when turning a corner.
Opened bonnet, serpentine belt came off and belt was still in engine bay, that saved me a walk back to find it.
Got the torch out and then noticed water gushing out of the water pump shaft area...
I was told the white piece on the swirl pot has a venturi effect and draws in more fuel. When the fuel level is below the top of the swirl pot, the return hose and drawn in fuel will keep the swirl pot overflowing and help keep the fuel pump cool.
Last one I was able to get the white piece off the swirl pot with an old wire coat hanger. Just hooked it in there and twisted a bit and was able to get it to release. It wasn't to hard to get it back in with a new piece of hose connected and twisting motion.
How many km's on the car? might be the starter motor failed?
Friend just had the starter replaced on his VF Evoke by Holden repair and cost just over $1K using genuine parts. Bill shows 3 hours labour for diagnosis and repair time. I think he said 3 years or 60,000 kms parts and 12 months...
VS BCM will only work in a VR if it also has VS ECU and VS wiring loom.
Previous owner may have swapped the lot.
VR and VS BCM's have different pin assignments.
What car are you putting the BCM into ? VR or VS ?
Your blown BCM is from a VS, but your original post and ride shows VR ?
VR and VS BCM's are not interchangable due to different pin assignments.
