If you want clean skins then yes you would most probably need new panels, I would try wrap a rag over the dolley and have a go at rolling them your self if your going to buy new gaurds anyway
White is the hardest colour to see and I have no doubt you would never tell it has been re finished if you took it to a qualified beater who knows what they are doing.
Take your car to paint supply shop and they will match it in the natural light as close as they can. Ask them any questions about the product they will also be much cheaper then sca not too mention quality.
If you have not been taught how to blend don't even bother trying just paint the whole...
remove the 2 metal clips on either side of the radiator and it should lift straight out when its empty and no hoses hanging off it.
Natrad and other radiator specialist will pressure test on the spot and tell you where the leak is coming from, free, no obligation.
Have no idea about your colour but have you thought about spraying the whole side if nobody can match your colour
and if the scratch is to the undercoat how do they plan on fixing it without a brush touch or respray? anyway **** go mate sorry to hear
I wipe a bit of nikki in the stone chips after I ruff them up with the corner of the sand paper, but if there are just too many I just give it a good chop smooth.
you can blend to any line or any swoop apart from that you really have to spray the whole panel out
chop with 1200 soapy water...
Cheers it was 2 blown fuses in the cell phone/radio and in some wiring left behind, I aslo found 2 exposed wires where they ripped it out, so all good now except for the a/c light i'm guessing that's just a bulb for sure
radio (std) lighting fine
power windows switch lights fine
headlighting and trip light fine hazard is out
Auto gear selector globe is not blown so its not that, and how could it be the switch/es if they all switch off and on? or I missing something here
Can some one tell me the most common problem for the instrument lights to not work
eg. gear selector, trac, power, a/c, demister, fan speed, heat settings.....
The fuse is okay
The bulb is okay
Cheers that would save me a lot of time
you can use auto tran fluid in all manual boxes its a finer oil and helps with worn syncros
also you fill the box to the brim until it starts overflowing making it pretty hard to over fill
double check for a flat battery they make a fair bit of noise like you described maybe your alternator or starter motor is stuffed
if you think its the ring gear you should see wear on the starter motor teeth and feel around where you took the starter out if you cant see in there
the ring gear...
Auto's can **** themselves at any time without any warning signs.
A manual will give clear indications of wear and what is worn or in need of replacement
If your clutch was gone you would have difficulty changing gears and getting a gear.
Burning smell could be burnt valve/s meaning that cylinder is not getting enough fuel, injector, pump etc. Could be a fuse, bulb?? co-incidence
I would visually check each spark plug to determine if and how many...
Being a auto with a Lsd would make it hard to spin, the 6 probably has a single spinner making it easier to spin.
A super charger would be the go and a set of gear drives would be nasty, The k/watts might not be much diff but the torque should be fairly noticeable
Yes pre drill the hole on one side of exhaust, the screw is only there to stop the chicken wire from coming out, it's only a small hole and being close to the tail pipe shouldn't make any difference. You can put a dot a weld there or just leave a short screw in it to rust itself on there.
You can scrunch some chicken wire up and poke it in your exhaust tip with a broom handle, then put a screw through the exhaust to stop the wire from shooting out.
To remove the wire simply take the screw out and rev up the motor, the wire will shoot out the exhaust
The more chicken wire you use...
not much in manual gear boxes basically shafts bearings, cogs and syncros but there are a lot of parts, you just need a clean floor and lay the parts out in order as they come so you know where they go, the box itself just drops in and out.
saying that its only bearing noise and the box is strong...
you need to explain and pin point where the vibration is coming from. It could be anything such as old hard tyres to plastic moulds, broken bracket, loose bolt/screw,bumper bars, bent suspension, bent chassis
If you can't find it while driving get a mate with a good set of ears to find it while...
I would first check the arrow on the fuel pump to make sure it's facing the right way, then i would listen to the fuel pumps to make sure they are connected and working. it is possible they have sucked **** out of the tank. fuel regulator???
then i would run the car missing for a couple of...
Clear is in all paints, it's what gives paint its body, strength and durability. It also gives metalics it's depth and shine
I don't see the clear being different apart from being uv resistant,i would say it would be the thinners that is different or some type of additive/retarder.
Best to ask...
you need the manual diff gears and it will pull like a manual. 3.45 ratio sounds familiar for the manual
auto boxes are bigger, heavier and suck more power out of the motor
