Good news popped the automatic trans in yesterday and a popular car magazine has contacted me to see if we are interested in doing a spread with the Adayer... this will happen in late spring for the summer edition.... so now we have to pull the finger out... wrapped !

Its been a while but finally got the auto back after a good going over and gave it a paint... ready to put back in..

Done a bit more today... fitted radiator with twin thermo fans, gained some space... happy to get rid of the standard old clutch fan along with the large plastic shroud... Now its much more easier too maintain the front of the engine,fan belts ect

Motor in... no scratches... a few beers... HAPPY !

Next Radiator... dont want to put the old clutch fan and big plastic radiator shroud back so we got old mate Norm to build a good fan set up on the standard VH Commodore v8 radiator...

new wheel bearings, painted brake calipers and painted disc hubs... front end sorted

new sway bar pins and rubbers...

add new sway bar and rubbers...

Power Steering reco; clean, new rubber boots, new tie rod ends, paint and install...

add some new lower control arms...

New Springs & new paint on the Struts...

K frame cleaned painted, ready to pop back in...

re window trims.. Have found a set of VK SS front & rear windows trims but they are painted black... Question; are these the same as VH SLE ones apart from the color ?

Sorry man looked passed your post... long story short - wasnt easy finding a trimmer that could or felt confident to take the job on and do it well but these guys did a really good job... my momo wheel was in a bad way - Motorcraft motor trimmers in Coburg in Melbourne did a great job trimming...

Engine up-date... Was told this 253 v8 maybe a replacement rebuild, the last owner wasn't sure because he wasn't involved, so i got the sump of and looked up those bores to see lovely new hone marks and new pistons and bearings so was very happy about that... I got this engine running nice...

Got the Adayer momo steering wheel back... had it done up with new leather... has come up really nice

Speakers, tweeters and woofers will be built into the new front door cards, in the back on the side and back parcel shelves... They'll mostly be hidden by building them into the new upholstery...

Have been speaking to the guys from No Limit Car Sound about getting a good sound system in the 2 door VH - they recommended to keep it original looking and use the original head unit and add blue tooth connectivity to the old head unit radio... Grouse... all hidden and works wireless via blue...
