    Where are the VXR owners?

make sure you can find a good price for new Michelin Pilot SuperSports because you'll need to think about replacing them around the 15000km mark So the original spec tyres wear fast do they? Do you were not a fan of the seats then?

    Where are the VXR owners?

So now that the VXR has been around for a while, and it is the only model that seems to be holding up price wise second hand. ( I am keen to swap across to a VXR from a Calais V!). Can the VXR owners tell me if there is a difference in the smoothness of the suspension in running in Normal mode...

    my new ZB Calais experience

I find the fuse cover which is in the glove box often pops off. When I went to pick up the car the dealer opened the glove box to get the manuals and the cover popped off. It has been a problem all the time. The dealer did not seem interested in fixing the issue.

GM backing down on their 10 year support promise

Yes GM will just do patch jobs to get themselves over the line now. They are leaving the country and are not seeking to keep customers so their care factor is nil .

GM backing down on their 10 year support promise

The Buick Regal is ceasing being sold in the USA. Not sure on the opel insignia as I think psa will make a stop to a competitor to their own Peugeot models. Also parts will be very pricey coming from the UK.

GM backing down on their 10 year support promise

US car giant General Motors is offering Holden dealers car servicing contracts for only five years following the shutdown of the iconic brand However, the company previously told the public it will provide customers with technical support for “at least 10 years" It seems GM are wanting to wash...

Yes a lot of Holden's dealers are multi franchise so will continue and are not to fussed with the GM decision.

    Zb commorde haters

What would be great to see is for opel to be sold again in Australia and they could pick up all the Holden people. Previously they had to compete with GM but now they don't. Also the price of the ZB was ludicrous. Opel could deliver a basic awd V6 and there would be demand at the high 20k mark...

6 ZB's left at the Adelaide Outer Harbour dock Storage area

I saw a badge which show the tyre pressures and another which shows the month and year the car was delivered to Holden but this is the same month and year the car was sold and it is just a sticker so I am looking for a proper metal plate with the VIN on it.

6 ZB's left at the Adelaide Outer Harbour dock Storage area

Anyone tell me where the compliance plate is located on my zb Calais v tourer? I want to know compliance month and year and also possibly the build date too if it's listed.

    ZB RS/V Commodore headlights

Not being able to turn off the headlights when it is dark and the car is running is a safety concern to be honest. As a driver I need control over the headlights at night including being able to turn them off. I am gobsmacked that I cannot turn them off while the car is running all due to the...

    ZB RS/V Commodore headlights

Yes so there is no off. Our zb manual does not show the off position and the switch doesn't have it. It means it's not possible to turn off the headlights at night without stopping the car and opening the door and waiting for them to turn off automatically. Seems an oversight.
  16. B

    ZB RS/V Commodore headlights

It seems there is no way to turn them off. Overseas models have an off position. Holden dealers tell me it's in the manual but it isn't.

    ZB RS/V Commodore headlights

I am looking through the user manual to find out how to turn OFF the auto headlights. There are times when the headlights come on and it is not really that dark. I cannot find where the 'OFF' is. I looked at the Buick Regal user manual and there is an OFF position on the switch but it seems...

    A bloody good drive

Yes well the V6 drives very differently to the 4 cylinder or the hybrid. It is a very smooth drive. It has better acceleration than the V6 ZB and beats it in the 0 to 100 benchmarks but what stopped me buying it was it has torque steer being FWD and also the steering is quite heavy.

What pressure do you have in yours?
  22. B

Matt's ZB RS-V wagon long term review

Oh really so the Conti is a firm ride due to the fact it’s a sports tyre. I would have thought the ZB tourer would come with a touring tyre. I will drop the pressure and test it. I just don’t want to have uneven wear on the tyres as I have been caught out in the past not putting enough air in...

Do you see many Camry around NZ? They are everywhere here in Australia particularly the entry level hybrid.

Matt's ZB RS-V wagon long term review

I am putting 39 psi in all my 4 tyres and I have a Calais V tourer. I have just me in the car most of the time. Should I be putting lower pressure in the tyres? As my ride is pretty rough. I have the continental tyres at the moment. Is there a tyre that might offer a softer ride? As the...

Yes the ZB V6 Tourer seems to have just about every option you can think of. It sure is a 'gadget persons' delight.

    The End of an Era

Yes GM is the one that made the decision. Basically GM are use to Holden providing a nice little profit dividend back then each year and this year it won’t happen. The guys at GM have said it’s a problem so drop the ZB. Let’s hope GM sell off Holden and someone like Opel pick it up. Opel can now...

    2020 Commodore

Yes I think they will. Well second hand ones. New prices will be slashed to clear stock and I am sure a lot of Holden dealers can’t wait to wash their hands of the debacle.

    The End of an Era

Yes interesting that Holden have pulled the plug. The next 12 months are going to be tough for sales. Yes think the 7 year warranty will be saviour but resale on the ZB will plummet now. It will be interesting to see how second hand prices change. I doubt there will be much demand for the car...

ZB Calais V and factory TPMS?

No. It’s available on the Buick Regal which is the US version of the ZB. There are a few key features missing from our ZB that they have but in return they don’t have the kill switch for the auto start stop and also the auto dipping high beams are something else we get that they wish for. As...

    2020 Commodore

GM will discontinue after the 2020 model. I think the commodore will go the same way. Holden will only sell SUV after that. There is no value in selling the sedan now. Toyota have a strong sales base with the hybrid camry which people can't get enough of.
  31. B

    my new ZB Calais experience

Yes. The V6 Toyota Camry is the same. A very light weight car and the power to weight is good. Put 5 guys weighing 90 KG in the car and it drives like a tank. I can speak from experience from my previous V6 Camry. Every time I loaded up the car I would really notice it. With the ZB Tourer I load...

    my new ZB Calais experience

Sorry, I meant the TourX is the USA does not come with the V6 only the Turbo 4. We are talking about how Australia has has the V6 but the USA has the Turbo 4 in the TourX
  33. B

    my new ZB Calais experience

But the Tourx is not available in the USA is it?
  34. B

    my new ZB Calais experience

The Tourx is sold as a 4 cylinder AWD in the USA. Its just a matter of swapping the engine to the V6 and also the transmission to the 9 speed. The same way they swap with the sports back. Opel when manufacturing have all the combinations in place. GM have not gone out of their way. If Opel did...

    Where are the VXR owners?

Or else the 2018 backlog of cars might be near cleared. Most of the cars corn from the Holden auctions and we will see more of the 2019 models soon. I think the prices will drop again once the Holden auctions start up again early next year. All based on supply and demand the prices. Also the...

Air Conditioner Poor Air Flow Through Vents.

When I set the air flow to just be down at my feet I get almost nothing emitted from the foot well area. Almost all the air flow is directed to the rear passengers via their vent. If I close theirs I hear a lot of back pressure and whistling like the air can't escape. Should I get this checked...

    ZB vs VF Climate Control

Explains partly why they are struggling to sell the car. The dealers don't their product. They need some training in how to sell ice to Eskimos or heaters to tropical islanders .
