This makes sense if your enjoyment of it is greater looking at it than driving it, but if your enjoyment comes from driving it over looking at it then you’re better off using it.

RedBook won’t have a published value which has such low km’s … on the site their prices will be for a car having travelled average km’s per year. Having much lower mileage than normal leads to a hard-to-predict value; because the low km’s have such different value to different potential buyers.

When I was a kid the Ford:Holden enthusiast ratio was about 1:10, because “Holden is Australian” (despite in my lifetime always having a greater proportion of imported components than Ford). Chrysler was already Mitsubishi … when a TN Magna is a higher quality device than the one you used to...

Value and selling of a VF 2014 Redline with W kit

A dealer low-balling will very likely just look at an average-condition wholesale price from somewhere like RedBook ... which you can't get unless you subscribe, but you can sorta-kinda take a guess at by seeing what they list for it & adjust a bit according to actual distance traveled. The...

Does anyone know why GM spelled traumatic as “trimatic”? Which reminds me … I went for years thinking Benzes had an antiquated 4spd auto when even Falcodores had 6spds, ‘cos they had (and still have) 4MATIC badges on the back of the AWD cars …

They got da boyz from Weber in to do that, didn't they? Or ... I have recollections maybe even took some stuff to Italy to get the experts there to wave some magic over them? I only found out many decades later that the Chrysler team pwned the NZ equivalent of whatever the ATCC was called...

^ Segueing … I don’t entirely understand how the must sell as many units as possible in the USA regardless of per-unit profitability! business model works. And that’s what’s going to be affecting supply here … for no known reason they prefer to sell units in the US for US$2k per-unit profit...

They still wouldn’t sell enough of them at $105k to turn a profit worth them expending any effort on. The outside may look all Ferrari but the inside is Barina; the vast majority of buyers are only going to see how an Audi S3 interior is more upmarket and looking at the thing with the...

It wasn’t so much easy to convert as it was easy to build in both wrong & right hand drive … they just only built Camaros wrong. Well, not for Straya; dunno if they did build them right for the UK? Corvette’s high price here is just due to low volumes. Bringing in such a small number without...

That’s something I’d never heard of before, although it does make sense … and the NSW RMS site is oddly quiet about it! It’s good news though, only lasts 1000km so @Alexander Codey definitely get back to that dealer to report the issue ASAP!

NSW is 3 months up to 160k kms & 10yrs, but nothing when the car’s over. However that doesn’t absolve them of absolutely all shady behaviours and you’d still have a reasonable chance with Fair Trading if it happened when driving home from the dealer so they may choose to fix it to avoid that hassle.

Hey that’s an interesting perspective … in the same condition & with the same wear/tear, I’d have put more than $1k on the value of an Evoke vs. an SV6 in 2017. I’d want the Evoke to save me more $$$ than that; in this case I assumed there weren’t SV6’s around in the same condition for within...
