I ended up purchasing 2 off of ebay for $10. Received them in the post 2 days later and changed both keys and they now look brand new. Yes they are a bit harder than the original but maybe they will last longer because of that.

Not like my opinion matters its up to you where you put it but to me I would prefer it in front of the stereo system. To me the screen would possibly take too much of the view out of the windscreen for my liking. I do like the screen goes up screen goes down though.
