I have the same car and did my clock spring about 6 months ago for rego and air bag light hasn’t came back since. New clock spring was around $220 on eBay. Definitely don’t stuff around with second hand ones. It’s just not worth the drama.

Probably easier and less mess to drain all the oil out and put it back in. I always put 6 litres in first and then check the level and add small amounts from there till it’s up to the correct level.

I got vf sv6 wheels for my wife's omega and used the VE wheel nuts no problem. The only thing I did was paint the nut caps black because the vf wheel centres were black and silver caps looked **** on it.

There are plenty of people on marketplace parting VE Commodores now since there aren't many of the older models left.

When you move the lever to the left and into sports mode, there should be an indicator on the dash saying its in sports mode. This should be working as all sv6 models were fitted with it. You might need to take it to Holden and have them check it out with their computer.

Get the codes scanned and will pin point the problem. Could be any number of things as said above. Wife's omega did the same. Got it scanned and found the rear wheel abs sensor was at fault. Changed that and all good. I know supercheap will scan the codes for you if you don't have your own.
