Sorted a new one. $21 dollars new happy with that

I took my glovebox light unit out to replace the bulb yesterday and I noticed that it looks like this black piece is broken. Should it be longer than this? I assume it should be longer in order to shut off the glovebox light when the lid is shut.

Yeah I know but to be fair, they did come out of the factory with black roofs too haha.

Bit of a thread CPR lol. I’ve got an SV6 in the same colour. One of the best colours Holden have ever brought out I think. Seriously thinking about getting a black roof done though.

No ADR rules here in nz, but our rules states we can replace the complete original halogen headlight unit with a complete HID or LED unit and it will be compliant. Will look into that switchback lightning site link and see. Cheers

Has anyone produced an aftermarket headlight unit for the VF’s yet? New rules in NZ state original headlights cannot have bulbs changed from halogen to HID/LED but they can if the whole unit is changed to one that was designed for them.

I do like the fact that those ones have the ballast as a dust cap replacement. Very neat and tidy option.

I’ve bought a clubsport spoiler for my Omega to replace the SV6 spoiler already on it. I know the legs are slightly different in the way they go over the edge of the bootlid for the clubby one, but do any of the holes line up at all or will I need to drill new ones?

Anyone know if it’s possible to buy a manual that lists all possible codes for a VE? I’ve had a few come up on a friends OBD and would like to see what they are before I pay a mechanic to fix what I could probably do myself.

It’s the struts that I need, there’s nothing wrong with my springs. As has been said, the VF strut bolts are a different size so will keep looking for VE struts.

Didn’t mean the top nut. The bolts on my struts are work and they are the problem. I realise the VF struts are different. It’s the struts I need, my springs are fine.

Unfortunately it’s the mounting bolt at the top of the strut that is the issue, not the springs. I’ll keep searching.

Is there any difference between VE FE2 and VF FE2? I’m looking to replace my VE front suspension and have found a set of VF for a good price. Will these fit straight on or is there a difference between the models? Cheers

Hi all. Found a cheap SV6 bumper for sale locally. Is anything else needed for the swap? Do the Omega wheel arch covers need changed as well or do these fit the SV6 bumper as well?

My omega has recently decided it doesn’t wanna let its air con work. Can’t even turn it on or off with the button. Anyone had similar issues? Does it automatically do this if there is a gas leak?

Is it? I understood it was behind the engine, almost up against the firewall and difficult to access.

yes check behind the glovebox to see if you have a bluetooth module. Unless you did it yourself, chances are there isn’t one installed.

There’s a guy on YouTube that’s swapping a VF front onto a ve wagon. Only issue he has come across is the bonnet hinges need swapped as well. Just the way the VF side guards wrap up and over the top.

Is there an adaptor you can get to fit PRE VE wheels on a VE? I know the centre bore on a VE is smaller than older vehicles.

These were the same as the SV6 rims too weren’t they? Or were they smaller?

I’ve got a low whine every now and then in my 08 Omega but it happens when I’m in park and accelerate gently. Only seems to happen when the engine is warm.

How’s that being a smart ass? Common sense really. Fuse box should be the first go to for electrical problems for anyone.
