its the pipe after the solenoid that is the issue sucks in air regardless of open or closed but you cant hear it because its under the plenum.. I mean bypass the pipe not the solenoid

The fuel vapour recirc solenoid on the passenger side of the plenum (clipped on with a rubber holder) has a thin plastic pipe that goes under the plenum to the Driver side of the throttle assembly these pipes tend to get brittle and crack and cause this issue, quickest way to test is run a piece...

So are you saying there is no custom PID I can add to torque pro to have a trans temp gauge on my LX6 Android display? (I run live gauges and graphs on my Head unit ) Very annoying as I have it on my LX8 working perfectly...

VY VZ don't need the code unless the radio is from a different car.... It is stored in the BCM for posterity...

with the car on ground (not wheels hanging) see if there is any movement in the shock top bushes (bonnet open and shake car by the wheels)

It has a thermal fuse that is overheating and then resetting .... Usually caused by rear passenger side window (no idea why but its seems to be that one 90% of time) try unplugging the motor and see how you go..

I have an SS inductions growler too in my Alloytec 190 and have live engine data on the headunit.... It gained 2HP (sorry not KW) at wheels ... If anyone is interested... Also have one in VZ V8... gained nothing at all But man does the 8 sound good now and the 6 also sounds much better..

16 will fit yes but only standard brakes not HSV ones.. As stated need to keep rolling diameter as close as possible to factory (legally cant change by more than 1.5cm beyond factory rolling diameter without Engineering certification, but also check your insurance)

Just back from The USA, I drove across 5 states the speed limit there in many places in now 80MPH and 85 MPH (128 and 136 kph) So much better on the boring stretches.. They have steadily increased their speed limits from 55MPH (88kph) over the last 30yrs and the road toll falls everytime... far...

Sounds like fuel vapour recirculation pipe is cracked... On passenger side behind Middle coil pack there is a solenoid and the pipe goes under the plenum chamber . Slide it out a bit and slide back the cover if it's split where it goes on to the solenoid fix with a bit of heat shrink... Had...

Hopefully its not gunked and slowly destroying the chains.... Recommend adding a bottle slick 50 to an oil change with full synth 5w30 oil ... Manged to ungum and recover my Alloytec 190 without dramatic engine works this way.. Good luck....

With the vehicle sitting on its wheels, grab and shake in and out the front wheels... Any movement is the shock top bushes, with bonnet open you can see the strut top move a little (very common issue) note... it is not detectable when the vehicle is suspended by the body..

190 Alloytec will go 500,000 no probs Change oil ever 10k not 15k run full synth 5W30 oil.. I treat mine to slick 50 treatment every 50,000 to keep everything ungummed... Lots of guys on Adventra groups over 400k and still running perfectly...

Lifted the plenum on my VZ 190 about 4 times.. Done carefully and never needed to change it... Never leaked or torn it I have had a new one sitting there since the first time just never needed to use it ..

Find a cheap SS inductions Growler ... That will give you a lovely induction sound and a tiny torque increase fairly P plater friendly mod. Carefully with exhaust you will just become a cop magnet... Do induction first might be all you need to get the warm and fuzzies. Till you get off Ps
