Will the steel wool idea you have still work with catch can that has the hoses coming out the side of it, just trying to work out a way of doing it I sort of didn't think that far ahead when i bought the catch can. maybe i will have to get different catch can thought about gluing the steel wool...

I normally use K&N filter with quick release nut built on found that alot easier to get off but can be a bit harder to get on as it is tighter fit on my VX

Sometimes cheaper oils are fine i like the higher end stuff, but friend of mine uses auto store brand stuff in his everyday VT with no issues i think he is approaching 300,000 just because its high k's does not really mean to much if its been looked after, you can get low k's and find motors...
