$62,464 seems a bit steep for a VXR

Holden have obviously not learnt anything from the pricing stuff up at the release of the Astra. The pricing of ZB is not even in the ball park at current pricing no matter how much the Holden marketing team tells us otherwise. Firstly the base model LT is a lot more expensive than a Camry and...

    Decent ZB review

I think it looks OK. The grill is very conservative. Holden could at the very least designed a unique sportier front bar to Australianise it a bit more. They will not sell at prices quoted. Until they drop the prices to a realistic level and offer at least a 5 year warranty they will only sell...

Is anyone considering the NG commodore after their VF?

Holden are insulting Australians intelligence again. They are trying to market a price drop for the base model of $1800 over the VF. NO one paid retail for the VF. So base model of the ZB D/A is easily $3,000 plus what you would pay for a VF Evoke. I was interested in the VXR but $60k D/A for a...

Servicing with Holden dealer or reputable local mechanic.

I believe you are better taking your car to a Holden Dealer for a service. If vehicle has any software updates or recalls they can be done during a service. I have even seen mechanics take their client cars to Holden dealers as they didn't have the equipment to diagnose the problem. If you ever...

    MY17 Specs and Release Date

I went to a dealer yesterday and noticed the SV6 sedan fuel economy sticker now has 9.1l/100 Kms up from 9.0/100. I know this is minor but something must have changed with MY17. Anybody have any ideas?

    Holden Commodore Limited Edition models

I know of a Manual Motorsport edition that is still available in North Qld.

Not sure how many limited editions left but I do know that a North Qld dealer has ONE manual Motorsport edition available.

If you read my post you would realise I am only talking about the V6.

Is anyone considering the NG commodore after their VF?

9 Speed Auto - Fact 230 KW - Fact All Wheel Drive - Fact Faster - Fact (Will be at least 1 second faster to 100kms than current V6 VF) More economical - Fact Handle Better - 200 kg lighter with AWD. Should handle better unless they really stuff it up. Don't need to drive it. Just look at the facts.

    MY17 Specs and Release Date

I rang a North Qld dealer today about some accessories and thought I would ask if they have and special editions left. For anyone from Qld looking for a Manual Motorsport Edition they have one left for under $70k.

Is anyone considering the NG commodore after their VF?

I am keeping an open mind as well. I understand how V8 buyers will not consider the 2018 Commodore but as a V6 buyer I will consider it. (AWD 3.6 not the 2.0 FWD). The new car will have a 9 speed auto, 230kw and All wheel drive. It will be faster, more economical , handle better and have much...

    VF Series1 or II?

V6. I would go series 1. (Better looking Alloys and still has a CD and rear cup holders) V8 . Definetly series 2. ( Just for the engine)
  15. C

Will you ever buy another Holden?

I will be considering a V6 2018 Commodore but only if it isn't too expensive. Apparently Holden will be marketing the V6 version as a premium product so I think they will make it too expensive as they have with the Astra. They have to remember it will be replacing the $38,990 SV6 no matter how...

    Holden to retire Commodore SS

Hope they don't price it like the current VXR or it will simply not sell. SV6 has always been under $40k drive away so they need to keep the V6 version as close as possible to this.

    2018 Holden Commodore details released

The 2.0T requires premium fuel so any advantage in fuel economy over the 3.6 would be negated by the extra cost in fuel.
  18. C

    2018 Holden Commodore details released

I am really interested in buying the V6 version of this car but my fear is they will market it as a "Premium" product and price it too high when realistically it is a replacement for the current SV6.

    2018 Commodore?

I for one am looking forward to the 2018 Commodore with much anticipation. Do you really think that Holden will release a car that is inferior to the VF. The new car will be more powerful, have better fuel economy, more modern design and have the latest tech fitted. The only thing that is...

    2018 Commodore?

2018 Commodore will be the all new Insignia which has not been released anywhere in the world yet and bares no resemblance to the current Insignia. Word is it will be first shown as the Insignia in March 2017 at the Geneva motor show. I have read a while back that people who have seen the car...

Post VF, what do you drive?

Considering I am not a V8 buyer I will be keeping an open mind and will consider the 2018 Commodore. I am sure Holden would not release a car that is worse than the old model even if it isn't RWD. For starters the new 3.6 V6 which will probably be in this car has 250kw and is 10 % better on...

    Hates/Dislikes about the VF SII

Don't like the Wheels on SV6/SS (Look Wimpy). Series 1 looks much better and No CD Player. Not sure if it is my imagination but Series 2 looks a little higher than a Series 1.

    VF Random chat thread

Does anybody know if Holden have fixed the V6 timing chain issue with the release of the VF? There would be very few VF's with over 100,000 Kms to know if there is still an issue.

    VF Random chat thread

Thanks crew_man. I was hoping they would change the design of the wheels. Even though the black out look makes the wheels look a little more upmarket this design looks wimpy in the flesh. Series one wheels look much better.

    Vf reserve edition

Y Is the Reserve Edition for Factory employees only or do dealership employees qualify as well?

The New Commodore VFII is Coming

When I seen the pictures I thought they looked cheap and was hoping they would look much better in the flesh. I guess this makes the VF SV6 Storm much more desirable now with Standard Sat Nav, better looking Alloy Wheels and MY 15 bonuses . (Plus you can get $1,000 cash back vouchers from the...

The New Commodore VFII is Coming

The Suspension is the same as MY15 so it will definitely not have that gap. Not sure about those wheels though. Does anybody have a better quality picture of the SV6/SS Wheels. As far as the 6 cylinder goes I think the MY15 Storm is a better bet than the MY16.
  30. C

    My16

Did they observe any changes to the body even though I know it will only be small changes? Maybe when they say the reserved edition is for "Holden Employees" it will be for dealership employees as well as the factory employees.
  31. C

    Vf storm

Do you know what the changes are for MY16 and will it be the last update?
  32. C

    My16

I wonder what the chances are they will put the new LGX 3.6 into the VF Commodore before it dies. My guess is unfortunately it will not happen but it would be a great send off for the Commodore to have the 6.2 V8 and the 3.6 LGX.

Improved Fuel Efficiency and Flex-Fuel Capability for MY12 Commodore

I am with you Calaber. The VE is starting to look old now. I do not know how they are going to sell in 12 months time unless they discount heavily.
  34. C

    VF Release date?

One change that should be coming in a couple of months is a new 3.6l engine. Holden have always said that the 3.6 in the VE will be going E85 by the end of this year. If this is the case I would say that the new LFX 3.6 with about 230kw will be the engine they use.
  35. C

    VF Release date?

If they do have a series 3 that would be an embarrassment and would show desperation. A bit like Ford did with the AU.
  36. C

    VF Release date?

If it takes until the end of 2013 to release the VF,Holden will have to give away the VE II by this time next year as it is starting to become stale. I cannot see how they can wait that long and keep sales ticking over. They will have to release it by the end of 2012 at the latest.(Even this is...

HSV E-Series 2 update to focus on fuel economy, styling

Does any body else think it is strange that HSV has confirmed the new model will be E series 2 and all the Media reports are saying the new Commodore will be a VF. Since Holden and HSV usually do the same I am guessing the new Commodore will be a VE Series II (Even though numerous people say...
