hey guys ,vx v6 ecotec ,wondering if this sensor in the picture below covered in oil is the oil temp sensor for the engine ?and if so any ideas on how to seal it up so it stops leaking so much , cheers

mine did similar after i changed sparkplug leads , i rechecked the leads twice and it drove like normal , 1 lead must of not been on 100 percent , its easy to do , might b your problem aswell

the previous owner may have replaced with the wrong key remote , ? maybe yours didnt come with the boot button originally ?

plus the windscreen will probably leak when u put it back in , no matter how much sealant u use , best to let a pro do the windsreen , but yeah u dont need it out to do the hood-lining as said above

gas here in gladstone is 1.07 a litre and unleaded was 1.60, funny how the price per barrel of oil hasnt changed stuffall in the last few years, but petrol has gone right up

i suppose really my main worry is the 3 leads that run under the alternator , ,i might pull it back off (just put new alternator on ) and put the plastic ribbed tubing back around the 3 leads , cheers again

make sure all your spark plug leads are on 100 % mate that was my problem

probaly just a trans fluid line with a split in it there pretty high pressure

mine did very similar things as yours turns out it was my abs module , as they age the soldering inside the module breaks off the board , the reason a dodgy abs module makes your dash lights come on and aircon not work (mine blew warm air) is apparently a heap of the cars electrical wires...

mine was stuttering pretty bad after i changed the sparkplug leads when accelerating , turns out all it was , was a spark plug lead i didnt have attached 100 percent ,there a bit tricky to feel when there on the spark plug properly i reckon

just played with the spark plug leads and it seems to of fixed the problem ,lol usually sumthing simple cheers

no its a definite um like a 2 second pause in acceleration ,a flat spot type thing , hard to xplain but its not normal wasnt there normally , but yeah like i said it stutters pretty bad under acceleration now , ill check the new spark plug leads in the morning ,its annoying
