Thanks. So it's acceptable for rotors to need machining after fewer than 16,000 kms? I'm thinking it's fair to push for replacement after so few kms? Do you reckon that's being unrealistic??

So Holden's offer is 'machine the rotors' as gesture of goodwill. No mention of what's to happen with the pads. What do you guys reckon? Machine them at under 16k kms or push for replacement?

Update:- Car to Holden Dealer today. They say needs 4 new rotors and pads;$1500+ They approached Holden state manager; not covered under warranty; up to me to pay. Both mechanics I spoke to at dealership thought should NOT be my cost as such low ks (under 16,000; 21 months old)...

Thanks again all. Took car for a spin today. Confirmed what I thought; vibrating through steering wheel is more pronounced braking from a higher speed BUT is evident when braking at ANY speed, and there is no vibration through the brake pedal. I think I'll go with 30 minute RAC member diagnosis...

I'll check what the dealer did on the services. All servicing done by the selling dealership since new.

No brake pedal pulse detected by me. I'll recheck this this weekend when driving the car. Thanks.

How? Already stated it hasn't been driven hard. Now, sure, you and the dealer don't know if that's true, but as the sole driver since new, I DO know it hasn't been abused, hence my posts here for advice.
