    Check to see if all electrical plugs are on correctly and tight. Are u getting spark? Are these parts new or other parts from wrecks/eBay?

    not a t-piece from the compressor housing just a barb fitting. as for your gauge u can run it off any of the vac lines attached to the plenum just t-piece in.

    dirty grubs..... whats the issues u r facing with boost lines? very basic too do. compressor housing nipple put a vac line to waste-gate actuator. running a boost gauge, run it from a nipple on the plenum chamber.

    Did u try the afm that I suggested. Even start the car and unplug it. If it runs smoother it's failing. Also check the cas plug on the dizzy. Pull back the rubber boot and check all crimped wires. Common to corrode and snap off. Look into the plug for corrosion too Spray in some inox or rp7 not...

    was it a new CAS? sounds like symptoms of an AFM(Air flow Meter) unplug the AFM and start the car if it idles fine its a failing afm. try another afm from a mates vl. another thing. DO a search there are so many threads regarding your problems

    Simple bud. Undo the compressor bolts and turn the compressor housing to were u want it and tighten, it's not a fixed position. Then plumb in your ic pipes.

    Just do a little research the boost feed may go to the top nipple of a internally gated turbo. And the bottom is vent. U can use your air compressor and check which one opens the wastegate flap. I know on my external gate I am plumbed in to the bottom port and the top is vent.

    If U get a skyline box then u know u can turbo the vl and it will hold up no worries. Only thing 34 boxes are fetching about 2grand for a non-flogged one. There are plenty of mf5 n/a vl gearboxes around looking in the right spots. Keeping in mind mx7 is the turbo vl manual box.

    U need a short hose to run from that brass fitting on the turbo compressor housing to the actuator nipple. Use the bottom nipple on the actuator and the top nipple is just a vent

    Over boost will cause a lean out if anything. Black smoke is generally running rich issue.

    so its speed related? try and record the sound. i had a whine which started at about 50 kms and i replaced my bearings and problem solved. but as u stated u have replaced your bearings. did u replace them properly and not over tighten but took out the slap?

    So it's just your tacho bouncing not your actual engine revs? Could be a bad earth. Your gauge signal wire is on the coil in the bay. Could be corroded and causing false readings. Have a look at the connections to rule out this being a possibility.
