I have a red illuminated Vacuum gauge, I didn't know you could choose what colour, as it doesn't even say on the package what colour it is.. Do you reckon I'd be able to pull it apart and change the globe?

Dudes, What would I use to recoat the chrome on a headlight? I went to clean one the other day and ended up wiping the chrome clean off in 1 or 2 spots back to this yellow crap. So I'm wondering is there like stuff you can paint or stick on to replicate a chrome finish? I've used "chrome"...

Well my car must be an ex-surveilance car. I know the RTA owned it before I did, it explains all the extras that came with it, ie. cruise control, ABS, imobiliser, map lights (although I have removed those), etc etc. And now I know the speedo light is an extra too.

Hey I have a speedo police light, I never knew it was for that, thought it was just standard.. My actual speedo needle doesn't light up at all tho, so I thought that's what the light was for.. Cool!

Do what I'm gonna do (once I've bought replacement headlights since my accident a few weeks ago..) Take the glass lenses off and paint all the chrome surrounds black, then put the lenses back on.

The Vp I think the VP is a way better looking vehicle, for starters, the standard front end doesn't look as though it has been sucked under the car, the front blinkers wrap right around the sides, I replaced the square amber side blinkers with the clear oval ones on mine, VN's don't have that...

VN - VP's are notorious for power steering leaks from the cap.. Just check it once a week, along with your oil & water etc.

What if you were to weld a stainless steel tip straight onto the resonator after drilling holes in the resonator (inside of where the tip would be welded)? I've seen this done, you can't see the holes once carbon has built up.. I'm guessing it's illegal, but it wouldn't exceed 90dB, would it?

Hey all. Just wondering if there's a way to adjust the indicator switch in the steering column so that the blinker cuts out a bit sooner. At the moment, it cuts off almost near dead straight ahead.. Thanks guys.

yep, just go to the wreckers, n get just the part u need, this happened to me, before u go, pull the entire switch apart and see what is it thats broken, for me: it was a little black threaded plastic stick thing that screws onto the actual button (the metal part inside). it's pretty easy.

I am in the process of doing mine also. I have also done the rear number plate lights, but before i replaced them I disassembled and painted inside the casings gloss white, this way with any colour they shine a lot brighter, i used white LEDs.

My advice: (This is what I'm doing) Get a Sony PSP, there's nothing this thing can't do (eg mp4's, mp3's, internet, games, everything man), and then get a FM transmitter for the sound. Too easy!

Yeah I know it causes strain.. While we're on the topic: Is there much you can do about steering fluid leaking from the cap? I've heard it's a common fault in VP's (maybe others aswell?).

Found anothery: Amperes = Watts x Volts. 100watts x 12 Volts = 8amps Should be Amperes = Watts / Volts. 100watts / 12 Volts = 8amps And on that note, it is a little confusing using 100W, because you started using 432Wrms on the paragraph before. I would've kept going using that example...

Look, The way I see it, just do it. If you get pulled over (which is unlikely) they can only give you a warning because how are you to know it's an offence if no one (eg. the tv) tells you? And make sure it's hooked up to a switch so you can turn it off. I'm actually looking for some myself...

DUDE, the same thing happened to me even after a service, I took it back and he said he would adjust/replace the servo assembly (more money) but hell of a difference, she kicks like a mule now, lol.
