Had a closer look, definitely not a bolt on straight swap. I want to keep the Monaro fairly stock but would like a nicer bolt on exhaust note. I like the look of these and think with better cats they would give a nicer sound.

First off, rest of my VZ Monaro exhaust is different to other VZ models but I am guessing my headers and cats are the same. Does anyone know if these LS3 Headers would bolt straight up in place of my standard cast manifilds?

The stereo manual tells you how to enter the code but doesn't mention numbers over 6 (gives an example of 3651). Also you can enter 3 incorrect codes then it will show "LOCK OUT 1 HR" on the display. Say's you can obtain the pin from Holden with proof of ownership but that will probably cost...

Good to hear you got it sorted. I have read the same thing about Nolathane being harsher and noisier so glad you're happy with them. Guess I will have to decide when mine need replacing.

Not sure if this will help or not but these are figures from a service manual (VT, VX, VY, VU) I downloaded ages ago, doesn't actually mention Monaro though. * is the degree sign: GTS - Toe in: 0* +/- 1* Camber: -1*30' to -2*30' Sedan (FE2) - Toe in: -0*19' to +0*32' Camber: -1*27' to -2*29'

Sorted. All back together now. Correction to the above - only 3 of the rivets had let go so the reg rotated around the fourth. Ended up using high tensile M5 bolts and nyloc nuts to bolt the reg to the door, not going to come off again. Best part about it was it finally made me replace my broken...

Finished now, don't know what I was doing wrong when I tried the knob at the dealers but VE gear knob will definitely fit VZ and probably VY, I did have to clean some old sealant off the gear stick and linish down the diameter of the flare on the gear stick slightly so that the locking lugs...

Might be wrong about this after all. Picked up a VE knob from a dealer this morning and measured it up, if I push apart the locating lugs on the gear knob I could get 14mm on my calipers. My gear stick measured 14mm so maybe the VE knob will fit with a little more force (didn't want to force it...

Didn't think I would be the only one with this problem. Good fix there Yamahahatim, cutting and welding the standard stick makes it easier but I still want to keep my original stuff. Anyone have a cheap gear stick they want to get rid of?
