The is no faults according to scan tool. I've done a bit of research and theres a common problem with faulty sdm Modules and no fault codes presenting and srs warning light. Might just start with getting the module reset/repaired.

Temp is fine, sound is definately coming from front of engine around the pulley/belt areas, not back. Are the belts easy enough to remove and put back on? Ive never done it.

Ran engine for 10 mins until noise stopped. Went for a drive and all good so far. I'll check coolant level once car has cooled down.

Now that you mention it, the overflow tank was empty or close to it. It sounded like water boiling but car wasn't over heating. I'm changing the coolant tomorrow anyway.
