Couldn't find anything on here or anywhere online, so posting to maybe help someone else! VY steering wheels do not fit straight onto VZ, as some selling them may tell you. Had to switch out the wiring looms for the stereo controls as they were SLIGHTLY different (enough to not work)...

I tried looking everywhere for photos online & couldn't find anything (trying to put a VY steering wheel on a VZ ) so thought this might help others and save a few hours!!

Just wondering if you have any photos of where exactly needs to be filed down?

Also, if anyone could shoot me a link to the vz service manual I'd be eternally bloody grateful. Can't seem to find a link on here that hasn't expired

Agree! Mine did their heads in and ended up being CAS. Easy enough to switch out yourself. Just me and YouTube got it sorted. Not that expensive either. So before you throw her in the bin I'd try CAS.

I had the same issue couple years back and mine was the Crank angle sensor. Easy as to change yourself.

Cheers for that! I don't know if it's worth buying a scanner tool, as it didn't throw any errors or lights when it happened... Do you reckon it'll still be useful? Going hunting for a link now, definitely been needing the manual for a while lol.

Yep. Had the wiring all correct in the first place. Turns out the constant wire (that the yellow goes to) is orange with a black stripe in a VZ crewman.

Thanks for all your help. Turns out I'm an absolute moron. She wasn't in park! Never done that before in my life... but obviously had to move it to get the old headunit out and totally forgot. Maybe I should start a "for dummies" series.... lol!

Yah thanks but this is the situation at hand so that doesn't really help me now. The previous owner had cut the plug off the end of the stock headunit wires. So they're just Willy nilly wires in there. I just can't figure out which one is supposed to be the constant, as there is no orange and white.
