Drove past the spitfire at Hunter Holden last night as that one had a black roof, and must say spitfire looks better seeing it in the flesh.

Ive been watching it fair bit as its dropped from 69k to 62k I will enquire about this and see how I go.I think maybe the high kms may be putting some potential buyers off.

agree being looking at carsales and GEN-F GTS at dealers with between 30-40,000kms are going between 60-65k.Thats not to bad.

Im sure ford execs knew about this but with ford manufacturing closing down here they needed to get their halo model over here as quickly as possible. The execs were probably hoping Australia would by as many mustangs as possible before the public knew of the safety rating before sales may get hurt.

in this day and age when someone is prepared to drop - 60-70k on a new car we work hard for our money we want to make sure our dollars give us the best deal possible. If a dealer says no to a deal in which a significant amount of money is to be handed over then thats their loss but means walking...

agree 10000%. I think the mothership was jealous of the performance cars we were manufacturing and tried to make holden australia difficult to survive. i blame obama to a certain extent as i think he would have told GMH to end the manufacturing in oz, maybe make manufacturing difficult for us...

yep, on the eastern states the dealers are offering 65-67 for the manuals and around 69 driveaway for the autos.

Agree, being a MY16 is not going to work for those of us that want one of the new "hero" colours.

I agree with Martyr - the chrome wheels look good with darker colours especially the blues and the oranges again different tastes.

I prefer the chrome as it helps break the black up and the chrome tends to stand out more. My preference anyway.

Yeah I know, im mindful of the limited numbers and if there will be no discount I wont be surprised. The dealers will give a price what they can do and it will be take it or leave it, and I have no intention of visiting 3 dealers in order to save a grand. I'll keep you posted.

I have done a build and price for a redline ute and with what I want comes to 63k. I have a meeting with my local holden dealer this coming Saturday, and will be interested in what sort of a discount they are willing to apply. I do not want the blackout kit and will ask about the chrome option...

so why drive the new models if they are just cosmetic changes?....im sure they are driving the new limited editions.

i think the exhausts look very, very average and not worth the 80k pricetag these maloos are going to go for. I do like the exhausts on the current LSA maloos. HSV should have left that part of the car alone.

Thanks Martin, I was unaware this is how the allocations are being managed dealer by dealer. Im getting more info here on this site than i would at a dealer.Is the 2k deposit negotiable or is that a required amount by the dealer for the deposit?

well said, its emotional for me. The maloo i have was bought second hand but this different...the last v8 i will EVER be able to walk into a dealer and purchase brand spanking new, and one that i will be be keeping for quite a few more years yet.i dont want a pissy fake v6 turbo.
