Disappointing LE owners have to pay extra after of the dealer behaviour when people were trying to order these cars. Considering the inflated premiums many people had to pay to secure ones of these cars, the right thing to do is give all LE owners the extended warranty

Would it be safe to say the cars will be valued starting at RRP, then take away regular depreciation? I'd doubt these will start off as being worth more cause the dealers gouged buyers when they were new. The premiums being payed now are unlikely to result in higher values when the cars are...

The HSV's look good, always a HSV and get more car for the money. Thinking depreciation could be extra nasty on MSE's as it starts at RRP, not on the inflated prices dealers are trying to charge. Already seeing 1 year old SSV redlines in the low 50's, guessing a 1 year old MSE will be around...

Interesting there are some MSE's on showroom floors considering the talk earlier in the year about them being sold out. I suspect prices may continue to soften as they remain unsold Maybe a spike in interest from Oct-Dec as some people put their MSE's up for sale and try to make a quick buck

Good pricing compared to some of the other figures floating around recently. Still a decent profit, as there is decent margin for the dealers at RRP. Guess they are making hay while the sun shines

Holden only remains relevant to new car buyers today cause of the V8's, once local manufacturing stops I think they'll really struggle. Guess the good thing for Holden V8 buyers is that the cars will be considered even more desirable for people who are after genuine RWD V8's.

Put the v8 in if the body's good. The 4cyl commodores were horrible cars to drive

Amazing to think it's so hard for updated maps to be supplied. I mean, melways had a new map defined, drawn, printed and released annually. And these days, with all the new technology, we get outdated maps?

Guessing dealers will need to be told to update their invoices to reflect and LCT reductions? Or will it just be "forgotten" I wonder ?

+1 for this. The market has changed over the last 10 odd years. Rather than 6cyl Holdens, Fords etc being the main family car, it's now SUV's. Have a look at a local suburban shopping centre these days, not a lot of large Australian Sedans. And then have a look at this old shot and the cars...

Heard there are a couple available at FTG holden, 1 manual and 2 auto. 1 auto at GWS oakleigh ...not the footy side:)

The dealer also mentioned a number of Dealer Principals in metro Melb got together and agreed to put the prices of Limited editions up. Just something they decided, not mandated by Holden. It's basically profiteering

Agreed, silvers are easy to keep clean. Just wondering though - how bad is the nitrate color mismatch issue on VF's?

Great thread guys, lots of excellent info here. Apologies for the newbie question, but how is availability of the MSE's in Melb? Made a few calls and not having a lot of luck.

Anyone having any luck on negotiating hard on the V8's? Dealers I've called are giving nothing away on the phone, even a visit to a non local dealer didn't help. Most of the ones I've called are saying their allocations are exhausted.
