Commodore Vs the Stinger 1/4 mile and 0-100

this guy seems biased towards the Stinger and another comparo, this guy seems biased towards the Commodore Interesting, but I have already made my choice, I bought an SV6 Black Edition Ute in March. I would buy a Redline too if I had the cash.

    Black Edition SV6 "Sandman"

Not too bad actually, the small windows on the sides are great, I can see through the back glass of the cab and out those windows and I can see straight out the back with the rear view mirror. The reverse camera is handy to. The bigger problem is as well reported, the A pillars are huge and in...

    Black Edition SV6 "Sandman"

I haven't done any work on the camper set up as yet, just couldn't wait to get out there, so I bought a couple of cargo boxes that sit on top of my bed for travel, a table that slides under my bed and a folding chair a top all that. The factory tie downs for a tonneau are still there and used...

. An on the road shot on my way back up into Central Queensland in the new car. Lots of detours to avoid the flood waters added about 4hrs to an already 10hr trip, but great to see the country green again. Also had to dodge some fires as the farmers guessed now was the perfect time to burn off.

    Black Edition SV6 "Sandman"

Found a Photo with my first car, 76' LX Torana Some body had attempted to turn it into a UC? Sunbird, changed the dash and transmission. It made a lot of noise at the lights, went fast enough to impress the girls and that's all I cared about back then.

Hi, I couldn't tell you the technical specifics, I can tell you it's one piece fibre glass and is permanently bonded in a process that takes 3 days. Website might have more information. http://www.amcat.com.au/product-category/panelvan-canopys/ The antenna is still there, it's not affected by...

F Funny you should say Birdsville, I was just thinking about when a mate and I went there a couple of years ago. I thought at the time you really didn't need 4wd or even much clearance. Mum made it from Adelaide to Darwin in the late 70's in a station wagon with 3 kids before me, and we did...

    Black Edition SV6 "Sandman"

Sorry yeah, should have been written better, I was trying to say that the whole car would be wrapped as opposed to a "clear bra" style. I reckon I'll get a lot of places, not much clearance sure, but when I think of many outback dirt and gravel roads they're fairly flat. I'm not trying to rock...

Do you mean am I wrapping the Speed Liner? I'm not, it will have some Opticoat trim protector to stop it fading. Just the green bits will get the PPF. If you mean why the speed liner/PPF, well. I want to be able to drive on terrible, outback, one lane, gravel and dirt roads without worrying...

    Black Edition SV6 "Sandman"

Hi Sandman, The idea for this build is all about back country travel and road tripping, hence the over the top protection around the car. I did look at the bonnet protector but the consensus was that leaves dust etc get trapped behind and cause damage, same with the headlight protectors. I will...
